Live near a residential area with a lot of deer. This is pretty common during certain times of the year.

Pretty much. End of winter, this is all the time. Strange thing is, those were both bucks, and does are the ones that generally do this. Guess they're getting low on food in that park, though both deer look healthy. They're ready for spring is all.

Yeah, not that uncommon. You know what IS uncommon? The excellent job by the camera/phone person.

They don't look like bucks to me. I can't see any horns anywhere on them. Though the 3rd deer that ran past the camera in the middle of the fight might have had horns.

Anyway, this is very common. I was waiting for one of the deer to end up bloody and dead, which is also common. But then realized this was in some county park.

Whitetails shed their antlers every year, the vast majority are bald these days.

The Brown Bomber lands a left and a right downward-cut to Tan Terminator.  I think he's hurt folks, but he's got heart and still swinging.  The Terminator is up against the ropes, I just don't know how much more of this he can take.

OOOOOhhhh ... the Brown Bomber just landed a vicious headshot and knocks the Terminator into the stands.

Deer logic:

Whale on each other with bone-hard hooves for 90 seconds?  Fine.

Slightly loud noise?  RUN LIKE HELL!!!

Looks like Tomar Park needs a bow hunt.  I'd be happy to volunteer.

When I saw "Tomar Park" in the article headline I just assumed it was a trailer park and figured the deer were trying to fit in.

how hilarious would it be to judo flip a deer?

it probably wouldn't work on a kangaroo, tho i hear they used to box them. bear wrestling i spose one could with difficulty.

Hilarious? Kinda. Impressive, considering you'd be grappling 200ish pounds of pissed off meat and hooves? Very.

Nope, just playgrounds & soccer fields and a nice bike trail.  Not sure what a "Tomar" is, but it's just a few blocks from my house and it's kinda fun seeing my town on Fark.

/it's South Dakota, let me have my moment
