jamspoon: TheManofPA: Just one year, I want google to do a huge announcement on April Fool's Day. That would be the greatest thing around.

They did. They announced Gmail on 1 April 2004 with 1Gb of storage when Hotmail allowed only 20mb.

Have you seen Gmail Blue yet? Quite possibly the biggest advancement in Email to date.

traylor: I thought their A F D prank was the pirate mode on Google Maps. There's a Treasure icon at the top right corner if you move your mouse over the Satellite/Map icon.

Pretty cool. Map turns all parchmenty and sometimes locates pirate-related tourist attractions.

Everything but Bacon, it seems.

In other news, Slickdeals.net has an Asteroids game you can play on their page, blasting away at elements of the site's home page.

I have to applaud Google, if for nothing else, for going full speed on this joke right from the start and listing "Wet Dog" as their example smell. Got a laugh from me.

/When is the Google Mars thing happening, again?

Ok, I laughed at the guy smelling success.
