A Tasmanian colony of fairy penguins has connected to the internet using a specially designed tablet to send out a puzzling message: "42".

Pfft, amateurs. This is the opening sentence. Good example of how not to do it.

The penguin then turned and said, "So long... and thanks for all the fish."

Don't you see? The wise and mighty penguins have sent us the answer to all of our problems. Also, they would like some fish.

I've seen Malkin, Crosby, and Fleury use iPads. What's the big deal?

So i look at it this way...

My 5 year old has about the same trouble my parents or people my parents age have with technology like this

My 7 year old can operate a tablet or smart phone with no trouble at all

So... you remember that show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader"? I'm thinking when it comes to technology, it's more like "Are you smarter than a 1st grader" and the answer is no...

My 3.5 year old has mastered opening Skype on the laptop, even after I removed the desktop icon, and can work the iphone/tablet with no trouble. Maybe your 5 year old is just slow?
