Jeff has been my good friend since high school. He needs a new kidney.  I'd gladly give him my spare but I've done too much to myself to have a healthy one he can use.

Please register as a potential living donor.

If not for Jeff, maybe for someone in your life.

Same here, unfortunately.  That, and I'm one of the rarest blood types in the world (B-).

\yay odd spot on the Mendel chart!

I have a few hobos in my basement. Why don't you come down there and see if any of them fit.

prisons are full of potential donors that will never again see the light of day. if our government gave a damn we would have a program that would benefit both parties.

Is it possible to have a spare kidney?

I mean, I thought with those 'I've got an extra' organs losing one would pretty much guarantee you live a shorter lifespan, even if you go out of your way to take care of yourself.  Maybe I just made that up in my head?

I would definitely give a friend or family an 'extra' organ.  I might be suckered into giving a young stranger an organ.  This old dude? Eh.

THEY SAY THAT TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE
BUT SOMETIMES ONE IS BETTER THAN TWO
IF YOU HAD TWO HEADS, YOU'D WISH YOU HAD ONE
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT?
IF YOU HAD TWO DOGS ATTACKING YOU
YOU'D WANT JUST ONE
THERE I PROVED MY POINT!

Nobody wants mine.

They're starting foreclosure on my house because of unpaid taxes (three years). If I could sell a kidney to wipe out this debt and maybe have enough left over to fix the plumbing, I would.

Why don't we have that in this country except for sperm and eggs?

He hasn't started dialysis yet so he's probably got about 5 more years before crunch time hits.  Hope he gets one.  Please, become an organ donor.

I am just going to leave this here. It has helped some people already and I know you can stay on the regular list. You never know, it might help.
