neongoats: You know, its rare that I read something from fark so unfunny as to actually make me angry to have wasted 3 minutes. But there you have it, my easter gift from fark.

Not every link or headline meets every single person on here's criteria for funny.  You'll get over it.

TheTranceFan: I'm not part of the TF super-race, so I'm kinda over here wondering how stuff like this gets greenlighted. Anyway care to shed some light?

Alcohol usually plays a part in it.

Sharksfan: alwaysjaded: I now pronounce this link deslidefied!

I closed the original article and came here with hope your post existed.  Thanks!

You know, you can deslide stuff yourself.
Copy and paste the text below to make a new bookmark. When you are in a slideshow, click it and it will deslide for you.

Was that picture made before or after they launched a satellite into a 500km polar orbit (higher than the ISS)? I don't know what the payload capacity or the accuracy of that rocket is, but they seem to have solved the range problem.

The payload capacity is the problem. Nuclear weapons are big and heavy, especially in the early stages. To go intercontinental, you either need one hell of a rocket, or you need to shrink the weapon considerably. Current intelligence seems to indicate that North Korea hasn't hit the sweet spot yet: they don't have something light enough to put on that polar-orbit rocket.

TFA was a waste of perfectly good electrons.

Besides the Fark filter having messed things up, I recommend removing the "/deslide/g" part as it's no longer needed.
You won't see any difference, it's just slightly messy in connection with the shortened links the site generates (the "/g" is being treated like a shortened URL)

DemDave: That list might be funny if I actually understood the many rap references.

Doubt it.

Thanks. I'm just kind of tired of the 'ARE YOU A WIZARD' type responses people give to those who provide a deslided link or begging for a deslide. It's not rocket surgery or any kind of special trick. Educating people how to do it themselves is more appropriate. Also I used that URL myself and it works fine. Fark filter didn't break anything as far as I can tell.

The filter inserts some whitespace; also the "%20" don't belong there - those are previously(?) inserted whitespace that got URL-encoded to "%20" when you copy&pasted it.
That the URL still works is pretty much a coincidence:
the stuff between "http://deslide.clusterfake.net/" and "?o=html_table" gets interpreted as a shortened URL and because it isn't a valid one, it causes an internal error and gets ignored.

Cagey B:
1. Everyone knows North Korea isn't actually going to nuke the US. For many, already discussed reasons.

How do you know, honestly? People were saying the exact same things about Hitler. What kind of a maniac would really want a second world war? He seemed too reasonable to want to risk his power on that. You don't know what the North Korean leadership is really thinking.

Even if they think they can, They have to know South Korea will become an island within an hour or two after the first launch. The "undetected" fly-overs the last few days should remind them of that.  But they know they can't, it's all bluster and posturing, "We need more cash and food, we'll behave if you give us these things... Honest." until that runs out and they need more next time.

Well, just so we're all clear...I wouldn't dismiss an attack by North Korea so quickly.  I remember one time, a few years back, a country lined up all of their troops and vehicles along the border with a country to their immediate south.  The U.S. Consulate explained that this was just a show of strength, that it was not an invasion.  I remember thinking..."I wonder how they know that?"  The next morning, at dawn, the Iraqi tanks rolled across the border into Kuwait.  Everyone said it was just a show of force.  Sabre-rattling.  They were wrong. Dead wrong.
