jonny_q: BafflerMeal: Eccleston left by his own choice.  He didn't want to be typecast.  His outcome?  Playing Destro.

Darth_Lukecash: Not quite...I think Davies bugged the shiat out of him.

I never liked him from the first moment I saw him. When I look back on my favorite episodes, my brain automatically just forgets Eccleston and puts in Tennant.  The damn look he had on his face, his damned delivery... I guess his clothes weren't his fault, but damn.

I liked Tennant from the moment I saw him and all throughout his run, even if the last couple episodes were a bit unnecessarily stupid. Despite that, Tennant made the best of it and made it watchable. Especially when he gets intense, he was one of my favorite "good" characters ever on televsion.

Smith is good. He doesn't do the really intense moments as well as Tennant, but he still does well. He has his other shining moments, though.

I wonder if Eccleston will be too busy filming Voltron and Glo Worm vs. Silverhawks and Teddy Ruxpin to be involved?
