Supernatural is getting another season?  Well, that would explain why they threw in all the new mythology this year.  I thought this was their last season and was like, "Why are they throwing in this 'Men of Letters' thing?  I thought we were just going to close the Demon Gate and ride off into the sunset?"

The Cleveland Show (1.6):Once again, this is the only Fox animated veteran without a renewal in the spring (the animated shows require a longer lead-time to produce next season's episodes than the live-action shows). We expect Fox's hesitation will be permanent this time.

Best news Ive read all day.

My best friend and I were bored and decided to suffer a episode out of boredom and some masochistic urge. They were doing a Diehard spin-off episode and what should have been a easy slam dunk of hilarity considering the subject matter was, of course, just god awful. I counted 2 genuinely funny jokes, maybe 2-3 brief grins and that was it. Farking cancel this abomination already.

Fark it, just give  H. Jon Benjamin another show since apparently everything he does a voice for turns to gold lately.

Just skip to Season 2 and start from there. The first season was really not very good/funny but trust me, that show has hit its stride and is one of the best shows on TV at the moment. The kids are a hilarity goldmine.

Young Justice was the only one on that list that I've seen, but I understand it being canceled.  I watched and liked the first season, but on the second they convoluted it and added too many characters.  Seems like you have to be a comic book nerd who knows the entire DC universe in order to follow it.

Revolution(5.0): One of the few freshman success stories this season. This lights will stay on.

WHY?!  Everything I have heard about this show makes it more retarded than the 3rd season of Heroes.

The Voice(5.2, 4.8): RENEWED

Duh.

Rock Center With Brian Williams(1.0): Nothing NBC has done with this show has made much sense so ... yes, it will probably return.

I've been hearing about interference with Brian and what he does with this show.  Let Brian do what he does.  Besides, I want more Rerrrr with Brian Williams.

1600 Penn (1.5). Soon to be sequestered.

Also, duh.  Just watch old episodes of The West Wing.

Elementary (3.0): RENEWED

Damn US trying to steal all of the British shows.  Just watch Sherlock, and then watch the Sherlock movies.

How I Met Your Mother (3.9): RENEWED FOR FINAL SEASON

Hand Banana: Granted I've only watched the first episode but I really didn't think Bob's Burgers would make it past half a season.

I think it's sort of an acquired taste. There's a lot of unique things about not only the show and script, but even the animation. I've seen every episode so far and it's DVR'd. I enjoy it, but it still lands a little odd to me. I can't put my finger on why. Like that chocolate filled with something you don't really like, but dude, it's chocolate, so you push through and eat it anyway.

I would love to see The New Normal go, though. My wife makes me suffer through that. It's so insanely unrealistic. The first 6 episodes of the series where the grandmother was like that 80 year old veteran that thinks he's been through too much shiat in his life to watch what he says in public. And her family's response was basically "Oh, you so silly!" and they welcome her into their lives like a long lost love instead of banishing her as they should have, given the children around and their implied personalities when not around her ... the writing is just really unrealistic and every episode my wife watches I'm like "Seriously? That would never happen." every few minutes.

Glee is another I suffer through. I watched the first 2 seasons and now I simply refuse. The first season was like 60% story, 40% music, and I could handle that. The music tied into the story well enough and it was semi down-to-earth. Now it's like 80% music, and 20% story that is obviously forced in to tie the musical numbers together. And that 20% of story is pure, forced drama that makes you want everyone on the show to just shut up and die because it's so overdone. No one just 'hangs out' in between songs unless it's to spill the latest HUGE gossip

I hope The Mentalist resolves the whole Red John thing this season. Five years is long enough; it's played out. Next season, they can get rid of Rigsby and bring in some new blood.

Good advice.  The show wasn't that great at first, but after working it a bit, it got hilarious.  Definitely one of my faves right now.

As for other shows, Cult was a farking disappointment.  It's one of those shows that had a lot of potential, but the writers made the plot so convoluted that it's impossible to follow.  Gave up after about three episodes.

Glad to see renewals in Fox's Sunday night lineup (except The Cleveland Show, which can be axed because it's just a black Family Guy), TBBT, and Arrow.  I hope Betty White sticks around, too.

We only get three episodes of Sherlock every two years or so.  Elementary is actually fairly decent, and because they're not holding specifically to the stories they get a lot more freedom with the writing.  Johnny Lee Miller is well worth watching (and, to be honest, I like him a lot better than Cumberbatch.  He's actually human instead of bordering on setting off my uncanny valley meter).

If CBS really wanted to troll, they would air everything of 'How I Met Your Mother' up until the episode before the season finale, which I'm going to guess is Barney and Robin's wedding, where Ted meets the mother, and just say "Nope, sorry, we're stopping here, no more."

Mike and Molly, I liked this show when it first came out, but now that they're married, it just feels like it's ran it's course.  I know that living in Chicago is expensive, but honestly, there is no reason why a veteran cop and a school teacher can't get their own place.  The biggest problem is that there is nothing happening on the show. The show needs a new story arc or go away.

Two and a Half Men also needs to go away.  Jake is no longer a half man, joined the army.  Alan has gone from being the good guy with bad luck watching his older brother do everything wrong and make it rich to loser who is mooching off of a billionaire.  There is no reason why Walden should really be letting Alan live there unless he's employed Alan to be his butler.

Community, I really don't get NBC's hate for this show.  It gets better fan love than Whitney.  I would like to see an Inspector Spacetime spin off.

Even with piss poor ratings, anything reality will continue, sadly.

1600 Penn, I actually like that show and wouldn't mind seeing another season.

The Neighbors, how it lasted a full season is beyond me.  My wife watches it and it took me a while to realize that aliens didn't name their daughter Dick, but the character of Dick is played by a boy who looks really girlish.

The Middle makes me dream of the days when Scrubs was a good show to watch and Neil Flynn's entire purpose was the fark with J.D.  Also, the daughter, Sue, non-hot jailbait.

The cancellation of Cleveland Show, please let it happen.  Though to be honest, I don't watch anything on Fox on Sundays past The Simpsons.  I do catch 'American Dad' on Hulu.  It's a shame that this season Fox has given more love to Cleveland than to American Dad.

tmo72: FTFA: Whitney (1.5): Sorry, it still has a shot.

Whitney still has a shot because it's pulling the same terrible ratings that all of NBC's sitcoms are.  Prior to the return of The Voice, they had six sitcoms all earning a .9/1.0/1.1 rating.  The network also has like 15 comedies in development, so they could just clean house if they wanted to.  The only one that's really safe is probably Parks & Rec.  All the others are 50/50.

Dalek Caan's doomed mistress: Johnny Lee Miller is well worth watching (and, to be honest, I like him a lot better than Cumberbatch.  He's actually human instead of bordering on setting off my uncanny valley meter).

I think Cumberbatch is more believable as a character.  I equate him to one of those human calculators that can subconsciously analyze the situation in seconds.  To have that and to get it to the OCD degree Sherlock has, you have to give up basic personality skills.  He's already admitted that he's a sociopath, probably with ADHD or Asperger's.  Sherlock needs weaknesses, and being slightly off is one of them.

Plus, you really have to be a good actor to rattle off the things in his head to the speed that he can do it.  I'm not going to concede that it's editing alone.

My wife likes Whitney. It's her guilty pleasure. I watch it sometimes, and wonder if I can slit my wrists with the remote while she isn't paying attention. If the characters pulled a little bit more to center, it might be a decent Friends rip off.

I loved me some Young Justice, watched it with the kids all the time, and the end was a bit bittersweet with the surprise death.  But I can see why it got canned.  Inconsistent schedule messed up a lot people following the show, because you can't take that long of a break on a show with that complex of a plot.  The other problem was exactly that:  Who was on who's side?  Too many double crosses going on, and it didn't start to fully make sense until the last couple episodes.

It sucks, because my girls and I loved it, but it is what it is I guess.

What bugged me about YJ was that no matter how epic a victory the heroes had, there was ALWAYS an epilogue that showed the bad guys winning even bigger.

Even in the last episode where The Reach was finally defeated and sent to Oa for trial, they just HAD to show Vandal Savage driving his personal Death Star to Apokolips and going "My homayyyyyyyyyyy!" with Darkseid. Even when the studio knew this series was ending, they just to once again piss on the victory parade one last time.

I feel like this is a show that could be good once it drops its initial premise, like when Happy Endings started ignoring the whole "Alex left Dave at the altar" bit and New Girl figured out that Jake Johnson and Max Greenfield are really funny guys so Zooey Deschanel doesn't need to be quirky all the time.

Kaling needs to figure out if this is going to be an OB/GYN workplace comedy or a "Mindy and her non-work friends" comedy.  It isn't really working trying to be both.
