Speaking of Billy Joel, am i the only one who would want to stay far away from the woman described in "She's Always a Woman too Me"?

Sometimes A Fantasy WAS played to death on the radio in the fall of 1980.

Decent list, definitely a few songs on there that I listen to often, but also a few that never seem to find a place on the playlist.

Hot funk cold punk.  Even if it's mindless junk it's still Billy Joel to me.

I am not clicking through a slide show but Billy Joel had 1 good song and it is Vienna. If that song isn't on the list it fails.

"Travelin' Prayer" was not only a great song, but the clip was from the Midnight Special show, back when musicians played live on TV and audio engineers knew how to mix everything correctly.

I'm absolutely positive that in the waiting room to enter Hell, they play "Piano Man".

(The rest of Billy Joel's works are played in Hell)

Your "friends"?  I mean, it's not like they are making you listen to Ani DiFranco.  At least Joel is tuneful.

/Billy Joel's songs are a lot better than my songs.

My personal fave - Say Goodbye to Hollywood

The perfect combination for me:  love the lyrics, love his voice on that song, and I love the sax solo!

Billy Joel is the only man who can get away with singing a song about the destruction of New York in a show paying tribute to NY. He did it for the 9/11 and the Hurricane Sandy tributes.
