(AZCentral)   If you have the striped skunks beating the golden-mantled ground squirrels in your brackets and the bighorn sheep beating the ravens, you'll be in a good position to win this year's Grand Canyon's March Madness   (azcentral.com) divider line 11

What kind of soulless creature votes against a golden-mantled ground squirrel? They are among the cutest animals in creation.

Well we'll see how far the overgrown striped weasels go in the real March Madness.

"Let's vote for animals!"

"Is this important to the animals?"

"We're not sure."

"Ooookey doke."

There's no way the Rams can beat the Ravens.

I like the mules. The canyon keeps a herd of mules to take stuff and people to the bottom of the canyon.

Csb time:

My mother is insane. She discovered that there is a hotel at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. So, we all had to go to the hotel. The problem is; everybody and their dog wants to stay at this hotel, it's called phantom ranch. The booking opens 6 months in advance; my mother had to call them at 12:01am the day the booking opened to get accommodations.

Everything there was either brought down by mule or built on site with the materials already at the bottom. The hotel probably 100 years old and consists of half a dozen limestone buildings. It's probably 20 degrees cooler at the bottom than it is at the top.

As much as I complained about it then and now; it was a really fun trip. The mules were lifesavers; but not for the faint of heart. If you decide to go to the bottom; plan to take an entire day to get to the river. DO NOT attempt to go down to the river and back out to the rim in one day; it's not Disney World and people still go out and never come back.

/ I know, TLDR

Nope.  I like animals, I just think that "voting" for them is silly.  And I'm sort of fine with that.  Don't give a sh*t about sports, either.   :  )
