bunner: Power isn't money.  Money is a con that powerful people use to obtain actual wealth.  Power isn't a position at a large corporation.  Power is getting millions of people to see the world through the same window as you do and therefore, since it's your window, you should call the shots.  Then you don't have to work, plant, reap, create, help, contribute or even listen to other people's ideas.  People do that for you for the privilege of looking at the world through your window.  If I control what you think money is and I tell you who God is, I own your ass.  And if anybody thinks America has been running a different play book than every other empire in history, they're welcome to that delusion.

So, power is like Noam Chomsky.

Tatterdemalian: doyner: So where are all the war-eager Neocons in all of this?

Oh, right.  Israel couldn't care less so neither could they.

Nah, we just don't care to advise you, specifically.

/if you wanted to know, do a google search
//but you just wanted to scream your hate for Israel, so whatever

I don't want to fight wars for Cyprus.  Does that mean I hate them too?

vygramul:   So, power is like Noam Chomsky.

More like Pope John Hoozis, Ayatollah Mookafrkka, Walt Disney and ConAgra.  But you're close.

The key to power isn't owning things that folks need to survive.  It's controlling enough people's access to them to where they assume you DO own them.  At the end of the day, if all the paper that says who owns what stuff gets set on fire tomorrow, they'll just defend it with guns until new paper is scribed.

The Bestest: North Korea is now threatening to close Kaesong (an act that would largely considered to be the -actual- "shiat getting real" point).

Who is that going to hurt most Hmmmm? If they do, see if they ever get any  outside investment again. Hope I can still get parts for my Hyundais.

Mrtraveler01: Bisu: Kanemano: Mrtraveler01: Oldiron_79: Well they listed Austin, TX in thier top 5 targets, so apparantly lil Kim hates hipsters.

Is there a citation/list for this? I would love to see what his other "targets" are.

The usual east coast cities, plus that damn Austin.

Ok for the second time in two threads, that arrow probably doesn't end in Austin. You CANNOT SEE the end of it because the guy's HAT IS IN THE WAY.  All the other arrows end in an arrow head. That one has the arrow head blocked, so it must be somewhere BEYOND MID TEXAS.

/hopefully CAPS and bold will help this time.
//and yes, they aren't actual trajectories, just arrows from NK to US cities

Valid point, but I can't figure out where else that line would end. Houston? New Orleans? Jacksonville?

San Antonio, just 80 miles to the south of Austin... AKA Military City USA...

KarmicDisaster: Who is that going to hurt most Hmmmm?

Which is exactly why it is considered THE watchpoint. Closing Kaesong would be cutting off their own nose, but it -would- show the world that they are serious.

bunner: Let's try a photo essay.

Then maybe you shouldn't follow them over huge cliffs.

If I had kids I would certainly let Malcolm McDowell babysit them.

OK.

Purely hypothetical question cuz I am feeling very VERY prankish despite being completely sober.

How do I get in on that sh*t?

The main lower level access point for amateurs is religion.  (Tell people they're going to hell if they don't follow your way because everybody else doesn't know their as from a banana stand).  The really big one is all sewn up though because that's bank notes and if there's one thing we learn as soon as we come off the titty is that bank notes are access to EVERYTHING.  So we use them.  And the people who print them like that because that means they own everything because money is access to everything.  Best con on earth.

There's always money in the banana stand.
