Rwa2play: the biggest redneck here: GAT_00: Pokey.Clyde: GAT_00: Well, Carson Palmer is being a little biatch

Again? I haven't heard anything about this. Do you know what his problem is this time?

He said he's willing to take a pay cut to play - just not for Oakland.  Basically, he's demanding to play anywhere else, because Oakland asked him to restructure and take a pay cut.

Which is a smart move. He doesn't need the money, proved he can be serviceable, and they're Oakland. If he's willing to be a #2, he'd be an incredible acquisition for a top team.

Don't think he's even capable of being a backup anymore.

I didn't watch him at all last year, but his stats say he played pretty well on a bad team.

rickythepenguin: I;'m disturbed at the lack of chatter regarding of what the Cardinals need to do to sign CARSON PALMER.  "draft picks, incentive laden contract, blah blah blah".  what?

I've said for years that Carson Palmer has been living off that stupid 2006 Pro Bowl.  He's sucked for years but still gets mileage off that 1-2 season run he had.  SEVEN YEARS AGO.

To be honest, he looked like he was going to be a solid QB until Kimo von Oelhoffen decided his knee needed to bend in a different direction in that playoff game against the Steelers.

rickythepenguin: Generation_D: Perhaps the Raiders are the last team in the league putting any value in the guy. I'll tell you what, I saw the Raiders play once with him last year, the guys arm is like slow-motion poetry. I mean that. Nobody throws a 20 yard rainbow arc like he does.

1) i meant chatter, not lack of chatter.
2) he's owed $13M in base apparently, but smoe of the talk is what the Cards would give up and if he'd restructure.  there's just way too much talk for a guy that at this point in his career, is a JAG.  He is who he is.  Don't bring him here.

christ the guy basically quit football period, 2-3 years ago.  what does tha tsay about his will to win?  i know it was more a protest against the ownership, but still.  if he mentally checked out, how committed is he?

I will give him a pass just on the holdout, because Mike Brown is just that terrible of an owner when it comes to modern infrastructure and front office personnel, and when you're locked into a contract with an employer that doesn't get it and you're watching what little viable employment time you have left slipping away because that farkstick was lucky enough to receive Paul Brown's genetic material? I'd be pissed too.

Of course, I'd also try to impress my new boss a little harder.

CavalierEternal: Argyle82: Argyle82: CavalierEternal: Argyle82: From previous post........ Jason Campbell might also be a decent option for #2 in Seattle.

...had he not just signed on for a chance to start in Cleveland.

Wow, missed that...

And how quickly the 28 year old rookie experiment ended.... don't think Campbell would have signed there unless they promised a shot at the starters job.

To be fair, Weeden was brought on by a different front office under a different owner. The men in charge now have no obligation to Brandon Weeden.

As long as Weeden is on the roster I think Norv will give him a fair shot to develop.  Norv as OC could mean good things for Weeden, he's a great QB coach.  If Cleveland gets a decent OL together he can do pretty good things with a mediocre QB.

Has Seattle decided to go with Russel Wilson permanently? After last years 2nd half tailspin? haha

He's retarded; just ignore him.

Since I can't follow my own advice, here's Wilson's "tailspin":

7-1 record, 123/183 (67%), 1652 yds, 16 TD, 2 INT; 361 rushing yds, 4 rushing TD; 120.2 passer rating

Yeah, can't believe they're making that scrub their starter.

I mean, I know he can't qualify for Cincinnati,  But does he have enough felony convictions to play for the Raiders?
