PsyLord: The doctor should've prescribed some Tretonin.  It'll fix him up real fast.

Would not that carry a risk of compromising his immune system?

I would think that a one-time use of a sarcophagus would be more effective. A single dose, however, is all that is recommended; long term usage creates physical dependence.

As we reported, Nemec nearly died in the January accident in Belize, while filming "Poseidon Rex."

The real tragedy here is that Poseidon Rex may suffer because this man can't get over one little shattered femur.

Easier to carry a vial of tretonin versus lug around a huge sarcophagus.  Plus it's only a one time use of tretonin, so the risk might be minimal.

They could just use the hand held Goa'uld healing device on the leg.  No need for a sarcophagus.

I don't get it. Corin Nemec isn't necessarily a great actor, but he's not a bad one either. Comparable people like Brendan Fraser still get to act in big-screen films all the time. So why is Nemec relegated to stuff like "Poseidon Rex" and "Sand Sharks?"

2013-03-29 10:33:16 AM
Hmmm, Poseidon Rex, Directed by Mark L. Lester.

Yeah, getting his femur shattered was far less painful than being in that movie.

That's what I'm saying. Watch his performance in "The Stand." He's... adequate. But so are most of the other actors in that miniseries. A great many of them went on to do huge things. Nemec winds up in a B-movie martial arts flick, playing a character named "Hitler." No, this isn't a joke. When the heck did he fall off, and do you think he can get it back? Can some hot new director revive his career like Tarantino did for Travolta?

That's some guy's job.  That's his life.  And he was probably grateful to do it.  Imagine the infinite list of skills you have to lack in order for this to become your life.

Wild Mass Guess. Getting over being "Parker Lewis" + replacing a character loved by a fairly devoted following = hard to get into the A- level stuff someone like him needs in order to get the small parts in A level stuff.

That or he just likes B-movies. And maybe C movies. Just be glad he hasn't fallen all the way down the alphabet to P movies.

Why does tom hanks win Oscars and Steve guttenberg sits at home? Why is Madonna... Madonna and Cindy lauper is playing the county fair?

And what is that guy from the 90s that was interchangeable with Matthew mcconnehey, what's he up to?

They tried a sitcom off that, after.  Didn't work, because they tried to bring Ferris to the small screen.  Fox in the early days just grabbed the idea, and basically did Day Off as a live action cartoon.

This is how the $cientology PR people work. This is merely promotion for his Next Big Project.
