Did they ask the real key critical question?

Why did you even make this shiat?

2013-03-29 08:42:23 AM
Really, the only question necessary is a sighing, plaintive "Why?"

"That high pitched, serpent like voice, at times it boarded on the silly."

Someone typed this out, proofread it, and thought it was correct, subsequently publishing it for the world to see.

One of the more interesting episodes.  Gi Joe attacked strategic Cobra bases while Cobra scrambled trying to find out how they were getting the intel.  Both factions wanted this innocent window washer dead.

Few villains can look so menacing as the Viper.

OK, question.  Big dumb fun or horrible abortion on film?  I don't mind stupid just not Beverly Hills Cop 4 stupid.

/I could go for some big dumb fun tonight and don't mind checking my brain at the door.

I'm hoping for big dumb fun, because I have the day off, a fat J, and nothing better to do than watch stuff explode.

Indeed.  The reviews have been generally pointing that way, so I think I might take a chance on it.  I's been kind of a shiatty week for me and a really just want to watch shiat blow up.

Saw it last night.

I thought it was entertaining and there were one or two pleasant surprises as far as humor goes along with a cast member I wasn't expecting to see in the movie.

If your looking to turn off your brain, and can remember that your watching a live action version of a cartoon  so none of this is supposed to make sense then it works perfectly.

Not the greatest action movie I've seen this year, that definitely goes to Olympus has Fallen, but it was fun. Also the trailer for White House Down did not impress me.

Funny how after watching so many episodes so many years ago, that's the only one I remember with any clarity. The joke episode.

The last action movie that impressed me even with turning my brain off was Expendables 2

Wait, the movie came out already?  I am a wrestling fan, how did I miss this news?  Oh, right, I skip through the commercials with my DVR. Seriously, I didn't know it was out

You don't remember the subliminal rock stylings of Cold Slither? That song's been stuck in my brain for three decades.

I saw Olympus has Fallen a few nights ago.  It was definitely an awesome action movie, though a little unrealistic.  But as someone else mentioned up thread, it's a fun movie to watch if you turn your brain off.  My wife kicked me out of the house that night so she could go on a invite her new lesbian girlfriend over for tea, so I needed something brainless and distracting.  And yes, I'm telling the truth.  My wife is leaving me for a woman 12 years younger than us.

The Viper, Cold Slither, and the episode where Cobra gets its thugs to intimidate voters to vote for a political candidate are the only three episodes I can really remember. Plus all the great dialogue from the animated movie.

Yeah, sorry.  I just can't think about action movies without remembering how I kept looking at my phone through the whole movie waiting for her to text me that it was safe for me to come home.  I saw the 10pm showing, so around 12:30 when the credits started rolling, I was told my wife's fling had gone home and it was okay for me to come back.  I wanted to die right then and there.  My life is a mess.

Cold Slither was my introduction to metal.

Also to add to that last post - don't forget the episode where Lady Jaye stumbles upon Destro's Illuminati ritual.

Oh, there was also that two-part episode where Dusty provides secrets to Cobra so he can help his sick grandmother. It illustrates why having a sick family member can jeopardize a security clearance.

So you're saying G. I. Joe is worth a look then?

The movie was enjoyable enough, very brainless.   Walking home from the theater and realizing the epic plot holes the movie had spoiled it a little, but not a bad flick.
