Of course, I don't want to give the false impression that in America you burn witches. As some of my ancestors in Salem Village, MA, learned the hard way, you hang them. The correct answer is hanging, English style. In Scotland and bits of Continental Europe, they did burn them at the stake though, but that was the Roman Catholic influence (auto-da-fés of Protestants, Jews, homosexuals and other people who cause earthquakes simply by existing--see the Reverends Pat Robertson and Jerry Farwell for details on how this works).

The Protties wouldn't wast the fuel. They could always reuse the rope, or sell it for souvenirs. (Quite a profitable side-line for the executioner, actually.)

I could go on all night, but I am adding Dick Van Dyke to my family tree and I'm only back to the 1800s. I've got two more centuries of ancestors to go before I reach John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.

FTFA: "Two neighbors told News 4 they want the dolls taken down, and they said all their fellow neighbors feel the same way. One neighbor called it an "abomination."

That sounds like a challenge to me.

Some people enjoy the macabre. It's not my preference, but the aesthetic has been around for a long, long time.

A common sense thing to do here would be to search the home for weapons.

Just before a weekend celebrating the torture and murder of a guy who said he was a god, some people are complaining about a couple celebrating the torture and murder of plastic babies.  Sounds reasonable.

Good for them. People should express themselves while our government still allows it, rat bastards that they are.

Of course not.  I doubt it was ever illegal.  That would be a pretty egregious violation of the first amendment.  People can display the battle flag of the Confederacy, upside-down crosses, and all manner of offensive stuff.

We Yanks crushed ours with very large rocks. I believe the last English village hung a witch around 1916.

A couple says there nothing negative about morbid dolls that adorn their yard

Yes there is. There totally is. Don't pretend it's not gross and morbid, because there's nothing positive about hanged dolls or dolls with darts stuck in their eyes.

Do what you want, it's your yard, but stop acting like it's all cheery and sunshine and daffodils.

I know I do.  It's a nice unsettling feeling.  Anytime I see old abused dolls like that makes me think of the old TOOL videos(and the shorts you'd see on weirder channels at odd hours featuring similar creepy animations)

I thought it was cool, till I saw the pic with the upturned wash basin and spilled out dolls.  Then it just smacked, of, "Well, this got old fast, lets go in the house and watch TV."

Wasted potential takes it from 5 stars down to 2.  Artistic to just kind of hairbrained.

Off topic:
I've always found them on the 3:00 side: 3:00-4:30, B/C/D streets. General area as the Boobie Bar.
It's also a wine bistro and they give out massages... And, as I found out, certain Barbie Death Camp ladies will request to suck your nipples (guy or girl) as a thank you if you gift them something.
