Um, I hardly thing Brooks Brothers made a stand one way or the other. Sounds to me like a simple mistake that was rectified (heh-heh, he said "rectified" heh-heh) quickly.

Of course, BB supports traditional marriage.  Why, just look at the image of the traditional family that I found on their current home page.  You can tell at a glance--especially from his manly, macho, super-masculine Brooks Brothers apparel--that the husband/dad in this family is super-straight and not at all gay in any way, shape, or form.  He definitely wears the pants in that family--sure, they're bright blue pants with pics of yachts on them, but he wears the pants nonetheless:

All the male BB models are white but what they're wearing screams "post-game press conference attire for prominent black NBA players."

Brooks Brothers T-Shirts are awesome.

I can't seem to locate it, but wasn't Brooks Brothers the basis of a hyperventilating "pussifyin' gayification of Amurca" outrage du jour in the right-wing blogs a couple years ago over some homofascist short pants or something?

Anyone remember this?

Brooks Brothers is pretty expensive, but for me the killer is they usually only offer old man type cuts.  People are so fat now that I have to buy "slim fit" polos and such unless I want a huge swath of fabric billowing around my midsection like a sail. It's not like I'm super skinny with washboard abs or anything, just reasonably fit.  One of my favorite polos is one I bought there a few years back on super sale, it was a slim fit but they said they do not carry them anymore.  Plus the mostly have pleated pants. Blech.

Does the suit on the right have built-in moiré?

Same here, I bought a 'slim fit' BB dress shirt on clearance, and the salesperson told me I was probably an 'ultra slim fit'  I didn't want something torso-hugging so I went with the normal slim.  It's baggier than most of my other shirts. Apparrently a 42' waist is 'slim fit' from BB.

Why would I buy an off the rack antique when I can drive to Montreal, get fitted, and have a suit made to fit, stylish for the same money, and the bonus is...While I am up there, I can wear it around town and get hit on my very attractive women, who practice good hygiene, and smell nice.
Unlike Vermont, where I would have to drive home to.

My firm gets a huge corporate discount from BB so I don't give a shiat.

Well, no, but that's because most of my gay friends wouldn't mix plaids like that. Seriously, it's just AWFUL.

//And those shoes, GAG.

Their non-iron shirts are a staple. But there are alternatives, like Tyrhett(sp?) and Pink.
