When I was a kid I did the classic stupid kids-with-a-bow game of standing in the middle of a field, shooting an arrow straight up, and running like crazy. It was a cheap thrill, I guess, and luckily none of us got hit. But one time I shot it up and I swear it never came down; it was in the middle of a soccer field and nobody saw it come down.

So I live my life as if any moment that arrow will come back to get me.

HMS_Blinkin: This is technically a repeat, but this headline is much better than yesterday's.  So I'll let it slide.

Maybe it was a repeating crossbow.

Bah!  When I was a little girl I had to go to school with an arrow in BOTH knees!  And I was grateful to walk uphill both ways in the snow to get to my unheated one-room schoolhouse.

Kids today, so soft....
