You guys are calling the guy a prick. I think there's a bit more to it than that. Like - seriously, deeply disturbed. No sane person provokes strangers with signs and shiat like he is doing.

The over the top GIT OFFA MY PROPERTEH stuff leads me to believe he will have a heart attach and die if someone like SA, Reddit or the others get hold of him.

I don't get why the neighbor would be upset about someone calling about an alligator in a drainage canal.  It's Florida.  Calls like that happen every single day.  If you live on a canal, chances are that at someday you'll have animal control come through your property on their way to snag a gator.

I mean, I get that the guy is a nut job, and nut jobs don't need any further justification for wacko behavior.  But I don't see the "hook" for him to get upset about.

I'm old and white, but not fat (yet...working on it though!). I'm not angry either, so with our sample size, 33% are angry. In today's media, I suppose that would be "nearly all".

CSB:  I had a neighbor in my last neighborhood who moved in after 3 years in Iraq.  Every morning he would get up at 3:30 am and start his morning run.  He would chant those military songs through the neighborhood until 5:30 every farking day.  Everyone hated this guy.  If you went to his house he'd answer the door tactically and make sure he remained in cover as he did and he had security cameras everywhere.  I've seen some paranoid people in my life but this guy took the cake.  A year after he moved in about a half dozen cops came to his place.  The story was someone at the grocery store bumped into him and he shoved the guy into the freezer after breaking his arm.  Last anyone heard he was placed in a VA hospital and the house went back up for rent. /CSB

The neighbor may be an a$$hat, but he does have a point.  There are some cases where the feds should keep their killing machines under lock and key until they learn how to format the hard drive and return them to a state of human; There are several, both IRL and here on Fark, that I doubt ever had an OEM copy of HumanOS before the military reprogrammed them. Feds please find the psycho on/off switch before you give your profit warriors back to the people.

What I said was, "some cases where the feds should keep their killing machines under lock and key until they learn how to format the hard drive and return them to a state of human ..."

The mechanic who never left base and learned a new skill while waiting for his shifts, he's just a working stiff.

The ones they turn into psychos absolutely should have a structured re-acclamation before returning to a society that doesn't require daily homicide to survive. The Feds should be required to treat ALL citizens with respect.  They pump these kids full of billshiat to turn them into killers and then send them home with a 'oh you're off work now so don't go killin anyone' letter. They only treat them after they go crazy on their family and neighbors.  My neighbor wasn't 'different' he was broken, no one should live in that state of paranoia.  The government should fix the damage they do to people, especially if they intend to release them unsupervised.

Amazing thing, Military living conditions aren't that different from prison living conditions, not surprisingly many come out of both institutions far worse than they went it. The soldiers should be treated psychologically after service, they're taught it's okay to kill and be psycho in boot, in the last decade it went from 'games on the field' to application in the desert.  Once it becomes real the government should repair them, not just release them into society.

Should they be locked up, of course not; however the government needs to take some serious responsibility in the fact that the people they send to kill for congressional profit sharing need to own up and take care of labor force they use to violently dominate semi-industrial nations. The people returning are only a problem because the government is too farking lazy and cheap to take care of them.  If they won't do it, then yes separate federally created killing machines away from the public.  We don't need their black/white unable to think beyond orders mentality in our workforce, streets, or police stations, they're far too dangerous. Just because they were once a human with compassion and understanding doesn't mean the government returns them that way with any great level of success.

I gave you a CSB, I can give you 3 familial not so CSB dating from WWI2 - Bosnia.  The feds have seriously farked up my family and I do not support their profiteering war actions or the results of what they do to our people.  We should be ashamed of what our government does in the name of war profits.

As someone who has actually been through boot camp and who has lived in Military living conditions, I call bullshiat on this. The military population is amazingly similar to the general population... mainly because the military consists of people who volunteer from the general population.

Boot camp was about three things: getting fat american kids in shape, teaching people how the chain of command works and some basic life skills like how to fold and iron a shirt.  Incidentally, the chain of command part was about getting people who formerly were used to telling their Dad to go fark himself when he asked them to mow the lawn to just mow the damn lawn. There was no magic conditioning or super secret psy-ops going on. Just some push ups, sit ups and scraping dishes when you screwed up. If you just were not capable of getting in shape, ironing a shirt or taking direction from your boss, you just got fired and ended up a civilian again.

I'll leave you to you comic book fantasies.
