Even if that was true it would be one plus one plus two plus one and not one plus two plus one plus one.

No, communism was only a red herring.

I'm voting for Nigel St. Nigel.  I know he's not on the list but, dammit, this is what write-in ballots were made for.

Still my favorite one-off character.

I really think that the show wouldn't have been as good as it is if her character had stayed on past the pilot.

Certainly, Lassiter wouldn't have been anywhere near as sympathetic as he ended up, and Maggie Lawson is
just so damn good.

For me, its a toss up between Nigel St. Nigel and Freddie Prinz's character, but I have to give it to Tim Curry every time.

I would hope that they at least approached Tim Curry to participate, but really if he came on playing someone other than
Nigel St. Nigel it just would have been a bit jarring.  And, everything considered, the joke about Nigel is quite passe now
that Simon Cowell is no longer on AMERICAN IDOL.

Yeah, but it's Cutthroat biatch.  Not that Maggie Lawson is bad, but she's quite good too.  I'm still sad she wasn't given a bigger role on Covert Affairs.

I am glad they're planning an end next season.  They've clearly run out of ideas and this season is simply nonsensical.  It's entertaining, but it bears no resemblance to the show really.

I meant no disrespect to Anne Dudek, but the character as I recall her was just sort of 'meh', kind of a female version of Lassie.

ION is going to be showing the Pilot this weekend, so perhaps I'll watch it again.  What?  Stop looking at me like that; I never miss ION's reruns of PSYCH.

I hadn't heard they were planning a graceful ending, but this is not surprising in the least.  I do agree that the shows this season have been a bit disjointed ("Lassie Jerky" especially), but PSYCH's
worst is still better than 90% of the drek out there.

It was the pilot.  I'm sure they could have worked more into the character if they wanted.  Remember, Lassie used to be competent too.

I'm assuming they are.  Season 8 will be the last, that is already decided.  And I think they're a little past disjointed.

Ah, looks like they only renewed Psych for a half-season for season 8, which is why it's probably the end.

Although, with the ratings up for S7, I would think maybe it's possible that they extend it to a full 16 episode season.

I DVR every episode on ION and watch them during my hangovers.

Oh, and if Psych is ending with season 8, maybe it's time for the Psych/Monk crossover TV movie.

I've enjoyed watching old episodes on CLOO - they've been showing all 99 episodes, leading up to the 100th on USA Network.
