I am a business owner with 3 partners.  I do not have direct access to the bank accounts.

Every year we have an external company audit our books.   They usually find a minor error or two but nothing to get worked up about.  We all like this - there's no possibility for confusion, mistakes, and finger pointing.

Do. Not. Trust. Anyone. With. Your. Money.  The only exception for that in my case is my wife.

Mr Guy: Well, how much do you trust your wife?

Don't make me throw you off this roof...

But in all honesty my wife told me I trust her.  So there's that.

lol

Because nobody has had their wife clean them out before leaving them. I will send my money to a Nigerian prince before I ever set up a joint checking account. You were correct until you pulled out your exception.

I live in a community property state - I'm screwed no matter what if she decides to do something.

But also look at what I did say - I said my exception is my wife, who I do trust.  Your mileage may vary...

HEH, HEH. GD's wish list must have went unnoticed.

Sounds like she was in charge of issuing her own paycheques. Company deserves to be ripped off because they're stupid.

I got to both of them without a problem. What paywall?

Sun-Sentinel has a huge pop-up that pushes paid subs.  Down in a corner you can register for 10 free articles a month.  Looks like a paywall at a cursory glance.
