So lets get this straight.
This is the guy who masterminded 9/11.
He said he didn't plan 9/11.
No one is sure who shot him.
No one saw him on the ship that dumped his body.
Rumors that he died in 2001 if kidney failure.
Thousands killed and injured.
Trillions of dollars spent.
Seal team 6 members killed.
I need a drink.

Dansker: keepitcherry: I don't believe for one second the "official story" is how it went down. Everyone wants to believe it was some heroic mission dude was probably sticking his head out his window and got picked off from a distance.

And then they crashed a helicopter in his garden. Just for the hell of it.

Far stranger things have happened to suit a political agenda.

What 6 seals may look like.

Or five seals & a sea lion.

Why not just trust the military story.  I mean, they wouldn't lead us astray for recruiting purposes would they?  (Jessica Lynch, Pat Tillman, etc)

doglover: And special forces are so misunderstood that they should really write more stuff about the operations they do.

Um, why aren't these guys being court martialed or something for talking about a classified operation?

LiteWerk: How are we ever gonna know what happened?

Not through "journalism" that's for sure.

Someone made up a story about bin laden's death for a bit of fame/notoriety?  This should come as a surprise to exactly no one.

Obama wasn't killed in an Esquire profile last month... he was killed almost two years ago in his bedroom.

That guy is full of it.

Besides, we already know who shot him...

So, we've got two options here. Well, three if you count that the Government is lying about how he died to eliminate any attempt to portray his death as heroic or a "last stand".

A) The guy who talked to the  Esquire reporter is so full of shiat he's swimming in it, and needs to be outed, at least to the US Special Operations community. And he needs a good kick in the balls for going from honorable sailor to Stolen Valor.

B) The Esquire reporter used information available to fabricate his own account of events for fame and fortune. And he needs a good kick in the balls.

Guys, can we just agree that everyone shot bin Laden?

Duh, but I do love the Esquire article for one reason:

"These biatches is getting truculent."
