swede jokes aside. we all realize this is now a dead seal pup. it obviously demonstrated that its survival skills were next to none without its mother and was released alone in a river. stupid thing probably swam against the current.

I don't know if it's just that late, but I found that quite amusing. Poor baby seals...

Why is it a 'brave' seal pup? Surely 'stupid' is a more accurate description.

As humans we like to anthropomorphize dumb animals. It makes some people feel good.

Hunter should have thrown him in the Saab and taken him to the shore. His lazy ace was only 4miles away.

Must have been global warming that caused the seal to be confused

In Antarctica, seals sometimes travel 40 miles away from the coast to die in the "dry valleys".  No one knows why.  Some have been observed en route, and if you try to turn them around, they resume their original course--they don't seem to be "lost" in the usual sense.  They are making a straight line course for oblivion.  Spooky...

Poor seal. They should have taken him in to animal rescue. He's clearly not fit to survive without mom.

When seals are overpopulated they sometimes come inland looking for food. They're starving to death and need to be culled like deer.
