So, -257.5% of people support gay marriage here in President Romney's America?

Before you mock this guy remember that there are quite a few people that only live in an echo chamber. It's very likely that his entire family, church, circle of friends and staffers are all against gay marriage. It's very easy to assume that everyone shares your views when you surround yourself only with people that agree with you.

I've found this out living in the south with people that never voted for Obama.  The argument I get is; "Everyone I talked said they didn't vote for Obama, how could he have one?"

Southern Republicans will gather quicker than those folks in white sheets.  And the derp that gets derped is the derpiest derp herp-a-derp that I've had to listen too.

Live in Texas.   Seems that most of the die hard "conservative" Republicans here treat politics like bragging about fish/hunting stories.  It's more a social thing and a contest of one-ups then anything approaching a serious conversation.   Doesn't matter how far from reality the claims are, they're immediately accepted but never remembered, anyone disagreeing with any claim is a liberal Obama voter, many of the claims will directly contradict claims made a few minutes earlier.

Obama only won because he promised free stuff to poor blacks; if poor people couldn't vote no Democrat would ever win.  Obama actually lost the vote but he cheated to win; one of his biggest campaign supporters/best friends is the owner of the company that owns ALL the voting booths in the US, study it out of course he won.  Obama is going to win a 3rd term, 100 percent, he's already have it planned to undo that law that stops him from serving a 3rd term.  Thank God Obama can only serve two terms.  Obama is going to install martial law and outlaw guns this year, 100 percent of it, I guarantee it despite me making this same prediction every year for the last four years.

I feel that any real conservative should favor gay marriage as an example of keeping the government out of their lives. Isn't that what they're always pushing, to get the gubmit out of their bidness? Apparently that only applies to certain principles, namely business regulations. When it comes to the bedroom, 'conservatives' want everything to do with it, while we liberals frankly don't give a sh*t. You wanna suck some dick and file taxes jointly? What the hell do I care?

I still firmly believe that the government should get out of marriage entirely. Let the churches label your style of marriage.

CHRIS WALLACE: Wait, The Washington Post had a new poll out this week, let's look at what it said. I take your point about the fact the vast majority of the states banned it. Fifty-eight percent now thinks same sex marriage is legal, 36 percent, illegal. Ten years ago, the numbers were reverse -- 37 percent legal, and 55 percent legal.

And there is a big generational shift, among people between the ages of 18 and 39, the margin is 70 percent to 27 percent.

Now, I'm not suggesting that, you know, big, deep, moral and constitutional issues should be decided by polls. But, you are also a Republican, and in addition to being a social conservative. Do you worry that this only puts the Republican Party further out of touch with the mainstream of American voters?

BAUER: No, I'm not worried about it because the polls are skewed, Chris. Just this past November, four states, very liberal states, voted on this issue. And my side lost all four of those votes. But my side had 45, 46 percent of the vote in all four of those liberal states. In fact, those marriage amendments that I supported, that would keep marriage of a man and a woman, out ran Mitt Romney in those four liberal states by an average of five points. (FOX News Sunday, March 24, 2013)

What the hell did Bauer just say, and what the hell did he intend it to mean?  I need someone to explain this before my head explodes.

I *think* he's saying that opposition to gay marriage has 45% of the vote in super liberal states, therefore the polls that show only 30% oppose it are wrong (skewed). Additionally, in those same states, Romney got less than 40% of the vote, so 45% opposition to gay marriage proves that it's not just a Republican issue.

Or something like that.

It's the vote that's skewed.
The vote is not a random sample representing the general population.
The vote is very much skewed towards representing specific groups of people.

He has a point.  Old conservative whiteys vote in record numbers.

Okay... so I watched that for a while and damn it was slow.  Why the hell is that done as a video rather than an article?  Anyway, I kept waiting for him to get to his point, to say what great boom was coming that Obama would ride into a third presidency, when I got to the slide where he carefully hedged his bet by predicting the 2016 election would go to Obama or his proxy.

So if Obama doesn't run, anyone who does that isn't a Republican can automatically be cast in that light and Stansberry is automatically correct.  Awesome.  And that, Farkers, is how you troll.
