"Shelby County's No. 2 now, who used to not report any labs."

Memphis is last to the party, as usual.

Meth and Memphis is a potentially volitile mix.understatement

NorCal has it's population of Tweakers also.
I know this will come across as insensitive, but these people are like the "Walking Dead" and need to be put down.
Here they will break a window in a car, completely shred their arm, just to get something that will get them some quick cash.
Probably just like everywhere else.
In my world, the first time you are caught using meth, you are sterilized, because I do not want your stanky ass procreating.

Surprised...seriously surprised!

I would have thought Arizona would be #1. New Mexico not far behind.

But in all reality Arizona is #1....in legislative meth use.

By definition, one of these 50 great United States has to be #1.  If not Tennessee or Missouri, which of the remaining 48 should it be and why?

Having lived in Memphis (Shelby County) for 20 years, and now living in Brentwood (Williamson County, just south of Nashville), this actually surprises me. I mean, yeah, Memphis was a cesspit and pot was only slightly less common than assault there, but I never saw much of the harder drugs or heard about incidents. This must be an inner city thing. Where I live now is just ... the crime rate is like 2% that of Memphis across the board, so nothing interesting ever happens here. Where all these meth labs at?

I prefer the W.V. meth, myself.  It has less Drano and a much higher battery acid content.  Sure, it costs more, but I'll be dead or in jail in 5 years anyway.

Things must be slowing down in Missouri due to everyone dying off or going to jail. It's been months since I've been badgered in the parking lot of Walgreens to buy Sudafed so someone can make meth from it.

East RIdge? Though I once had to get gas in Rossville- it was like walking into the set of a zombie movie. I never got gas so fast in my life and I grew up in Memphis.

One of the reasona we have the problems we have now is that nobody was much interested when it was mostly a west coast, semirural, and white person problem.

So that whole nonsensical set of laws making it hard for allergy sufferers to obtain effective decongestants has done what exactly?

Perhaps we should look at legalizing meth too.  Allow them to buy the same high purity stuff that is/was given to fighter pilots, etc. and we can do away with meth labs.

The issues surrounding meth labs and the needless restrictions on pseudoephedrine seem to be worse then the effects of legalizing it for those who want it and get it now.
