Love Mystery Inc.  Glad they're finally at least finishing the season.  God bless Cartoon Network's ability to kill every good show they have.

I was never a fan of Scooby Doo as a kid but the new Mystery Incorporated series is awesome! They already had an episode featuring Harlan Ellison and now this. SDMI and Adventure Time really pull off the balance between kid show and adult show.
I still refuse to watch the little girl's pony show, though.

I concur. I don't care she's old enough to be my mom, she's still hot and something tells me she's probably a hellcat in the sack. Plus, she's still just plain adorable.

The HR person that hired me for my first office job at the time looked a lot like her. It was difficult to keep control at that interview.

Sooner or later your legs give way and you hit the ground.  Save it for later, don't run away and let me down.

Too many Velma cosplays and porn parodies make her into a tall, leggy, beautiful woman showing off a bit too much skin. The appeal of Velma was that she was short, large-breasted, plain-looking, genuinely nerdy, and she covered herself with ill-fitting clothes to hide her curves because she was unconcerned with being feminine, and more concerned with being intelligent.

It was her brain and modesty that made her appealing. The cosplayers and porn parodies just turn her into Daphne with glasses, a bob, and an orange sweater.

With all that said, Mystery Inc. is one of the best animated shows out there. It's fun, has definite continuity, and gives the characters much-needed depth. It's a little weird that Scooby gets more actual lines, but I have to say they did a great job casting the show.

Of course, Frank Welker is Fred and Scooby. I don't know how the world will replace Frank Welker when he's gone, because he does so damned much in the world of animation.

And Matthew Lillard has done a bang-up job with Shaggy. He actually improved on the way he played Shaggy in the live-action movies. And bonus, Linda Cardellini plays Hot Dog Water in this series. That's a cool nod to the movies and the way they portrayed Velma in some of the old cartoons. But I thank goodness Gellar isn't playing Daphne.

And for Velma, it's just plain cool that Mindy Cohn (from The Facts of Life) does such a great job. Velma had a lot of voices over the years, and Mindy's has been the closest to the original in tone, vocal quality, and inflection. She really does a great job.

If you're into animation and want a good series to try, give Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated a shot. It's a shame Cartoon Network is stupid and has basically canceled it (after shuffling it around and putting it on hiatus for long periods of time. It's like they TRY to kill good shows like this.)

With you on the opinion of a curvy Velma.  Then as bad are the ones who try too hard to make her lesbian.  If she is or isn't, that's not the point, but if you really have to try that much to see her that way, maybe there are personal issues you have to nail down first.
