And your point would be...what, exactly? Are you not sure what the subby was trying to convey? I can explain it to you if you like.

brondoj is 100% correct... it is spelled "damn it" or "dammit," but never "damnit."

With the proper training the pilot should have been able to correct for that and landed safely.

Definitely a Zero.  Kates carried a 3-man crew (which I just learned).

Any guess on how expensive the RC plane was? Don't know a lot about them, my dad used to build RC planes from kits until he spent one winter building a beauty and demolished it the first time he took it out. This was 25 years ago though, not sure if they've gotten harder to crash etc.

Don't know much about them either, other than that it can be an expensive hobby.  I'd guess we just saw a few thousand bucks crash down to earth, at least.

How do people land these things? I couldn't land a plane in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 to save my life, so I can't imagine the difficulty of landing a legit albeit miniature plane from a static third-person perspective.

I would imagine it takes practice to land an R/C that size but really, the difficulty in landing a plane comes from the speed and size. An R/C plane will not have as much an issue.

Basically, imagine trying to stop a 10 pound R/C car... compared to a 1500 pound real car.

The pilot (of the Zero) is on one of the heli forums claiming he's had problems with this particular heli pilot before. I don't know the details. I did hear him call "low pass" in this video. The pass didn't seem particularly low to me, but whatever, he was out of the pattern so good enough I guess.

From what I read on the forum, his big problem is the heli pilot not adhering to the club rules of flying the pattern (his claim, not mine; I don't even know where this club is). The heli is clearly not flying the pattern.
