Okay.  That was...awesomful.  Half awsome.  Half awful.

I feel like I need acid to help me recover from that.

Nimoy was great on "Mission: Impossible".

Here's a scene with Nimoy and an actor named Mark Lenard. Supposedly they did some other TV show together.

And here's the intro to the TV movie "Baffled" (which was actually a pilot that was never picked up).

One of the more bizarre childhood memories I have of Leonard Nimoy was catching maybe ten minutes of a movie in the late 70s where he was playing a brain surgeon. I watched, awestruck, as a happy, jolly Mr. Spock drilled holes in a patient's skull and used wire threaded through the holes to cut the skull open.

Was that when he was playing the murderer of the week on Columbo? I seem to remember he was a surgeon in that one.

I remember the patient died, so that could be, but IMDB mentions a movie called "Seizure" in which he also plays a surgeon.

"Seizure" is the movie theorellior is thinking of. Nimoy's turn on "Columbo" ("A Stitch in Crime") he plays a heart surgeon trying to murder Will Geer. The episode is also notable for. Being one of the few times Columbo loses his temper.

I just found the synopsis of Columbo, he killed a nurse when she found out he put dissolving stitches in a heart patient he wanted to kill. So what you are thinking of was probably Seizure.

/Nimoy got arrested once by Columbo, Shatner twice I think.

I dunno which shocked me more, a happy Mr. Spock or the fact you could drill into someone's skull. Probably the fact that Mr. Spock was happy he was drilling into someone's skull.

It's my birthday today too!  I've been sharing this day with Mr. Nimoy for quite some time :)

When I was younger, it was an issue to share this birthday with Mr. Nimoy, since I am tall, thin, was really into science, had somewhat pointy ears and genuinely pointy eyebrows.  Nowadays it's totally different -- I trim my eyebrows.

I like the Bad Brains video of "Pay To Cum" that uses the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins footage but it seems to have been removed from YouTube.

Oh here it is, might want to turn down the volume a bit, my coworkers just about had multiple heart attacks.

Hector Remarkable Every day is Leonard Nimoy's birthday.

That would make him 29,951 today. In seven weeks, he'll be 30,000. That's old, even for a Vulcan.
