We have just witnessed NK's first act of war.  Everyone to your smart phones, twitter accounts and Facebook.  It is time to respond.

Wait. There are North Korean tourists?

Poor choice of stock photo for the article... It's been photo bombed by a US soldier on the far left (no pun intended).

I highly doubt anyone in ACUs would be allowed in Best Korea, at least at this time.

No big surprise. It's hard to block all sites that would allow dissemination of non-approved images of real life in NK.

If only there were some way to avoid the pains of visiting North Korea...

Best Korea sure seems to be determined to "do something".

I used to think their stupid posturing shiat was amusing. Then I saw about 5 minutes of one of those shows on the History Channel, where some math genius claims to be the new Nostrodomus.

In the segment I saw, he said there is an extremely good chance that WW3 (if it happens) will start in NK. They'll do something stupid to another country, and we'll step up. Then China will step up to defend its ally. Things go from bad to worse after that.

Look, I'm not saying I believe anything these so-callled "prophets" say...I'd have to watch their shows first, and other than that 5 minutes I saw I don't plan on watching. But it doesn't take a psychic to see how easily something like this could actually happen. In fact, it's not a stretch to say if anything like this does happen, it'll start with a piss-ant country doing something stupid to another country and their allies (China, most likely but there are others) will have to defend them.

And....I can't help but think of what one of my friends who was a Marine during the 90s would always say:

"The country we need to watch out for is China."

I love how this is the greenlit NK thread today. Not, you know, the big military alert level raising or anything.

It really isn't farking news, it's fark.com.

I thought that back in the early 1980s, when I first started seeing things with familiar American brand names on the front and "Made in China" on the nameplate.

On the other hand, even China is starting to get tired of Kim Jong Crazy III's schtick. The trouble is, they might still decide to bail him out when we call his bluff.

So says the Farker who has been here over 8 years and has zero greenlits.

Perhaps you can try harder?

Am I supposed to care about my # of greenlit headlines? Is that like your fark-peen now?

The number of farks I give is far far less than two. But it was worth posting to call you an idjit.

Really?

It will be fine
as long as America stays the fark out of it

NK is the little brother to China that China knows they will soon have to kick in the ass.
NK is no threat to the US

As long as America stays the fark out of it

Kim is just trying to provoke the US so China will go to war
China does not want to go to war

As long as America stays the fark out of it

// America - stay the fark out of it !!

It is more of referencing the fact you complain about the content of Fark but haven't submitted any content.

But you are cute when you are angry.

- Nostradamus never predicted anything except in the ever-changing interpretations of some some guys out to make a buck.
- China has lost interest in helping the DPRK.

Personally, I think there's a greater worry in Kim selling NK's nuclear expertise and materals to some terrorist group intent on planting a bomb in a western country and/or to a third party (*cough *cough Iran) who is equally interested in killing infidels.

crab66: "the country's extensive 3G network."

Really?

Apparently they found a way to power cell towers with oxen.

So, now the only people to get 3G are foreigners living there permanently? So, like 100 or so people?

Therein lies the problem....if they go any further off the deep end and attack someone (South Korea, perhaps?) we won't stay out of it.  And once we're involved and China comes to NK's aid, what then?

capt.hollister: - Nostradamus never predicted anything except in the ever-changing interpretations of some some guys out to make a buck.

It wasn't Nostradamus' prediction.  It was some guy using a form of mathematics to make predictions....I think it's Dr. Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, but I'm not sure.  As I said I only saw a few minutes of the program, so I'm not gonna say he's any better since I don't follow *any* of these guys.  But definitely not Nostradamus.  Man, all those weirdos on the History Channel that freaking dress like Nostradamus give me the willies.  For some reason that channel is full of guys like that.  And that alien dude with the funky hair....although he doesn't creep me out, he's just funny.

"How about we just shoot ourselves in the head and visit Hell instead. It's gotta be better than North Korea."

China is terrible at war and knows it. It's probably as sick of North Korea as we are of Israel. If we carpet bombed it or better yet nuked it they'd probably just send us a strongly worded letter.

Well, they have sort of a "boy who cried wolf too many times" thing going on. I don't, but it's easy to see how someone could tune them out.

I find it hard to believe that North Korea could provide 3G using their Compuserve account.
