I don't know. I think "psychopath" when I think of someone who sells real estate.

They were taken into custody in the Bronx, New York, Sunday night after they agreed to sell the drugs to undercover detectives for $440, according to court documents.

They make the same mistake so many stupid drug dealers make. Undercover detectives are the last people you should agree to sell drugs to.

"Partners: Kalkow told police that she was holding the drugs for her boyfriend, Whalen. Both alleged dealers went to elite Vasser College in upstate New York"

I figured the whole thing would probably be pinned on the boyfriend of the rich girl. No way a rich man is going to let his daughter take the fall. Unless the rich man was Vidal Sassoon, in which case he wouldn't give a fark about his kids.

I may not often have a daughter arrested with 30 baggies of heroin after 'advertising drug deal on Craigslist' .

But when I do, my reaction is jazz hands.

I'm more concerned about her taste in men. The drug charges will go away as she will be put into a diversion program. The taste in men problem is much harder to fix and what her dad should be worried about.

I'm not usually one to defend rich white girls, but... her boyfriend is pretty obviously a bad influence and a total amateur drug 'enthusiast'.  Having spent large segments of my life hanging out with fellow degenerates, I know 'em when I see 'em.

Several months ago, I watched a documentary called The One Percent (Link - Warning: watching the guy in the Lamborghini talk about poor people may piss you off). It was done by a guy named Jamie Johnson, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune. He focused mainly on the children of the ultra-wealthy. It was amazing to see the gamut of personalities. Some of the kids were drug-addled, spoiled rich kids like the girl in the article. Despite "having it all", those kids seemed the most unhappy. He also interviewed a couple of people who decided to turn their backs on the wealth they were given. It was fascinating. Warren Buffett's granddaughter was in there as well. If you admired him before, you probably won't after you see what he did to her.

57,000 a year to attend her college.  Nice.  And living in a multi million dollar mansion on 5th avenue....and she gets caught with 30 bags of heroin?  Wow.  her dad must be having heart failure right now.  what will the neighbors think?

*if I was a cop I'd get a warrent to search the mansion,l and try to seize it if I could...yeah her daddy would destroy me and my career...but the giggles...the giggles....

What?  the fact that his granddaughter from his son by his ex wife kinda came across as having deserved more?  And so he took offense?

Seriously, how many kids of parents worth over 100 million get caught up in heroin compared to the general population?

Is it a relative percentage to the rest of the population?
Is it higher or lower?

Why do these kids go down the path of using the dirtiest street drug out there? (granted why does anyone?)

Seriously boredom can't be the only reason....

I didn't view it that way. I'm not sure what she said that would make you feel that she thinks she deserved more. She seemed perfectly content to live as someone else's servant.

I was referring to the fact that because she participated in the documentary, he wrote to her to tell her their relationship is over and that she would no longer be considered a member of their family. It seemed cruel. I've seen family members do much worse to one another, even my own family, but we learn to forgive and accept our differences.

Inside knowledge?

Or jealousy?

As for the article: the link to the guys scaling the Great Pyramid and takes photos from the top was more interesting.

So basically his son married a woman who had children and the son adopted the children.  Warren gave her (the child adopted by his son) a free ride through college.  She bad-mouthed him in public, constantly biatches about not being able to spend his money, and he completely cut her off.

Maybe a slightly harsh reaction.. but I am thinking this one was probably long in the making.

I didn't know anything about her story other than what I saw in the video. It really made her look like she was unfairly banished from the family. Thanks for the additional info - same to Greywar as well..
