THANKS, OBAMA!

We all need to keep voting the Republicans into office.  Look at the benefits we are reaping!

Thanks to tax increases, our income came DOWN since January.

Sgygus: We all need to keep voting the Republicans into office.  Look at the benefits we are reaping!

Over the past 40 years, the Senate has been controlled by the Democrats 13 out of 22 times.
The House has been controlled by the Democrats 15 out of 22 times

Democrats have had a majority of the power in Congress over the past 40 years.  So unless you're going to spout off about filibusters and what not, it just doesn't matter who you vote for.

So the political shift of the country to the right (since Reagan) is just in my imagination.

/I need to get my weather-vane cleaned
//not disagreeing with you about the lack of any genuine leftiness in the Democrats.

Actually since 88, it's been pretty split.  .

Maybe the problem with the money IS the money!?!?

Seriously though, need to get share holders to put pressures on businesses to lessen the salary gap between top and bottom rung.

You can do this with taxes and guns.

How about actually talking about the germane policies pushed, and laws passed, by party?  Or would that wash your red herring ashore in a frothy pile of seaweed...

I willingly took a $10,000 pay cut. A hell of a lot less stress on a daily basis is well worth it.

And every time the Republicans get a foot hold they do damage that takes multiple sessions to fix thanks to things like compound interest and wars.

But keep sucking Reagan's cock. I'm sure something will trickle down on you.

Well maybe if those 90% just pulled their bootstraps harder they'd be millionaires in no time! The wealth inequality is just showing how many lazy people there are. We need to give more tax breaks to the job creators cause they're the ones that are really suffering.
/Oh god I feel dirty from writing that.

All this complaining is just class warfare based on jealousy.

If you want to be a billionaire quit being lazy, you fuggin' moochers.

toss in filibusters and secret holds ....
they are a pretty scary party those goptards ....

a more accurate way of looking at things might be to see who signed the actual laws and budgets.
I cant remember the last time that a bill was vetoed and I have no memory at all of a veto override!

I wish we didnt have capitalism; I wish we didn't have to use money

I wish the world had unlimited resources.

I wish all labor could be done by robots allowing people to live free.

Unfortunately, that world is not yet here. We will get there, its only a matter of time. IMO that should be our goal.

But until them, we do live in a world of limited resources. Unfortunately the capitalist system is what is best. It sucks. It really does suck.

Look farktards -- the game is fixed. The tabl is rigged
The fixes are gaurding the henhouse.

They don't even care to hide it anymore.
Remember the "reforms" after the "Great Depression" -- conducted by the same people who caused it
The reforms after the "Housing Crises of '07" -- conducted by the same people who caused it.
Who created a Central Bank for America - the same people who cause the above.
Who took us off Gold? Look above.

Why does America pay debt on every dollar issued?
See above.

Who does the President of the US report to?

Clearly, lower wages are needed so the top 1% can build the country even more.

Er... BILK the country...

Yawn... over 40 years you are likely retired and your income will go down.

LOL at everyone who tries to blame politics.

Its corporate GREED.  They pay workers crap bc ppl are desperate for jobs...money concentrated at the top.

Very simple.

you mean the three terms for republicans and three terms for democrats?
yes, it is your imagination.

All those decades of wealth will start trickling down any day now. The Democrats' exorbitant tax rates have been like a dam holding them back.

2013-03-25 11:45:36 PM
We need to get big business out of government and put them back on a leash again.

2013-03-25 11:49:14 PM
Yep, tax the rich more. The government has more cronies at banks to bail out, more non means tested services for boomers to fund to buy votes, more drones to kill brown folks with, and more prisons.

Oh, you thought the taxes on the rich were going to poor people.

lol

When was most of the country not suffering from four decades of wage stagnation and declining benefits? There you go.

We should just let the hyper-rich have ALL THE MONEY. Then we could simply live off their largesse. Maybe they would be generous enough to feed my family for a while if I agree to allow them to hunt me for sport.

We didn't get here by accident or by mysterious, invisible, inevitable, unknowable forces. We spent a hell of a lot of time, money and effort to construct the economy we're in. It's been our choice every step of the way. We can choose for it to be more fair, more just, more equitable. Or not.

Sooner or later the people paying the wages better realize that pushing down incomes and sending jobs overseas is only going to result in them having no one to sell their goods and services to.

Oh, an article about class differences.  Is there any economic system out there where there is no haves and have nots and has hot running water and medicine?

Let me break it down very simply, socialism or capitalism, there will be rich and poor.  There is no revolution coming to change things.  Want to improve your life financially, stop being an employee who is paid either hourly or salaried.  Start your own company, become a commission sales person, start investing, do what the rich people are doing.  Look at the richest 500 people in the nation.  The one thing you won't see is anyone who made it rich working a 40 hour a week job, getting paid hourly, biatching about the class disparity.

What are the odds of going from poor to rich?  I don't know.  What I do know is that there are more first generation millionaires right now in the US than at any other time, and that the vast majority of millionaires are first generation.
