Intermission sounds like it could be kind of interesting...

Joy to the World.

I hope that a couple of Santas drop the gloves and duke it out on center ice.

What do you get if you show up as the Gorton Fisherman?

Rangers jerseys will continue to earn free bottles to the head.

All those Santas had better bring some game for the Islanders, or the Flyers will make some egg nog out of 'em, like they did on Saturday.

Got to love the advent of the ice chicas that skate around the rink in tight pants. I think the Isle were one of the first teams to do this, now the B's have them as well.

2003-12-22 03:36:01 PM
"My, there are a lot of middle-eastern looking Santas here tonight...oh, well, probably just a coincidence."

2003-12-22 03:37:04 PM
For maximum hilarity, they should let the santas drink as much beer as they want on the house, then let them out onto the ice during the 2nd intermission. Without skates.

And any hot looking woman dressed up as a slutty Santa's helper will be allowed to ride my Zamboni.

Since when is Santas Claus a slut?!

2003-12-22 03:40:47 PM
PfffHA, 'ice girls.' These are some classic "lawn guylind" chickies, too. What do they do, flapjacks? Just skate around at intermission? Do they have pom-poms?

2003-12-22 03:41:10 PM
So just when in the hell are the Isles going to trade Peca to the Sens, huh?

Who would the Sens offer up for Peca?

2003-12-22 03:44:41 PM
Sounds like a job for SANTARCHY!

2003-12-22 03:45:55 PM
I keep hearing Bonk, but that would be a steal for NY, cause Bonk is pretty hot right now and Peca's not doing shiat.

But then Bonk usually goes to sleep during the playoffs, while Peca wakes up, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad a trade after all....

2003-12-22 03:47:37 PM
That's just great. Let in some drunk-sorry-ass dressed in a shabby Santa suit on the ice. Where he promptly falls, cracks his jaws--lawsuit ensues!

2003-12-22 03:48:02 PM
Ogilthorpe farked her you know

2003-12-22 03:49:15 PM
Yeah, that sounds pretty fair. So fair, in fact, that I'm not sure why they'd pull the trigger. Unless Bonk is as unhappy in Ottawa as Peca is in NY...?

2003-12-22 03:50:09 PM
I hope some dyslexic people show up dressed as satan.

2003-12-22 03:54:37 PM

sorry, had to do it...I hate the Islanders

I think it's not at all that Bonk is unhappy in Ottawa, as much as Muckler is unhappy with his play in the playoffs over the years.
And Muckler loves Peca from his days as Buffalo's GM.

There's been talk of trading Bonk for quite a while, because he's the longest-serving member of our team at 10+ seasons, but he always performs badly in the playoffs. I think before this year's playoffs arrive, Muckler is going to want to cut some of the dead weight, and add some players for whom winning the Cup actually means something.

Rex_Racer, Sens;

The Isles had asked for Volchenkov and the sens promptly said no farking way. Too bad they didn't give him up before they lost him for 4 months....

GO SENS GO

2003-12-22 03:59:24 PM
and besides, Peca will come around... Bonk's having one good year, peca's a proven performer.

Besides, can you imagine how nuts the Leafs-Sens rivalry would get with Peca wearing the gold black and red? Helllllllloooo Tucker going NUTS.

2003-12-22 04:05:14 PM
NYI suck, go Flyers!

Broad Street Bullies baby

2003-12-22 04:11:43 PM
16,000 tone deaf fans singing carols with a bunch of drunk Santa's parading around on ice. Hmmm, this just wreaks of indie film fodder. A really bad indie film....

Tucker going nuts?

That happened a loooong time ago, my friend.

This photo of Tucker really has nothing to do with anything, but it still makes me smile.

Sorry 'bout the watermarks...

SantaCon comes to the NHL

2003-12-22 04:27:45 PM
This could turn ugly.

1. Admit anyone dressed as Santa for free
2. Have them buy lots of booze
3. Invite all the (disguised) drunks onto the ice
4. Chaos ensues

2003-12-22 04:32:09 PM
5. ...
6. Profit!

2003-12-22 04:47:31 PM
The Islanders should let anyone who shows up dressed as santa play. they couldn't be any worse than the bunch of stiffs they got out their now.

Go Leafs Go!

2003-12-22 04:47:38 PM
Bonk for Peca? I might want a bit more if I was the Isles...no matter whatever anyone says, he is still the heart and soul of the team. Remeber what happened when he was injured in the first half of the season, the Islanders were back to pre-Charles Wang ownership days. Peca is a better defensive player, and I think the Sens would love to have him so they can kick the Devil's ass (I hate the Devils). But if it's a Peca for Bonk, better for the Sens.

2003-12-22 04:50:10 PM
The New York Islanders: when you can't afford tickets to the Rangers game. Ha, seriuosly, does New York ever plan on having a decent hockey team again?

2003-12-22 04:52:06 PM
sounds like a slippery-santa-slope for disaster

2003-12-22 05:01:23 PM
SENS:

yeah, I meant *more* nuts, but I thought that was implied.. maybe he'll actually jump into the bench this time...

POTVIN SUCKS!

Isles fans are the most passionate I've ever seen. This promotion could get a little nuts.

The Leafs-Isles series was great in the spring of 2002. Good old time hockey. And I love both teams, so it was hard for me to choose a side.

2003-12-22 05:15:34 PM
Nutzngum, Islander tickets are just as expensive as Rangers.

Potty Mcnugg, The Flyers sure did hand the Islanders their asses. But Broad Street Bullies? Those days are long gone, my friend. Hey what the...? A piece of Fedoruk's face bone just flew past my window! I knew it'd come down from orbit one of these days. And don't get me started on Huggy Bear.
