Hector Remarkable: Good chance to nail him down on what the hell he was thinking when he did that Kolvoord Starburst.

/Probably they'll both be wearing clown sweaters.
//Like the one Joshua Albert died in trying to do that Kolvoord Starburst.

Holy crap I just watched that episode on Netflix last night.... seemed to me that he should have been expelled.

Fark Craft Beer would be an appropriate gift for Headline of the Year contest winners

//just saying

the beer will be made of the tears of kentucky wildcat fans and will still taste like shiat

Seriously. I think I might make the leap over there. It's only 380 miles. We'll see...

Need to get someone to drink copious amounts of it and then have leeches drain all the brew out of them. Tap those leeches and the resulting product would make meelions

Farkin' Stand Rye Me. A nice rye ale that would make Ace Merrill call us pussies for drinking it instead of a case of the local swill, all while driving to the boonies to use our switchblades on some of the neighborhood youths.

Make sure to have something to eat before you go to Stones Brewery, the food there is AWFUL.  I've gone there at least 5 times hoping the combination of brewery and restaurant might work and every time the expensive lovingly described food is incredibly bad.

2013-03-25 08:03:59 AM

DKinMN: That's silly. Reddit is whatever you want it to be depending on which subreddits you subscribe to. It is several orders of magnitude more entertaining than Fark.

Reddit is a fantastic wonderland, the best for everyone! I wish we were all at Reddit right now.

Let's ignore people who characterize it as a for-profit private Usenet, owned and operated by a giant media corporation.

Nice things like Wheaton posting pics of 17 year old cats.

Drew Curtis, founder of the hilarious Fark.com and friend of Wheaton, will be contributing to the process.

Well, if the beer is like Fark, other people will pay $5 for the privilege of contributing the water, hops and yeast. Drew will just claim credit and collect the money.

Proportionally yes to you it us close to LA. (checked profile) To me it is nowhere near. 20 minutes versus 2+ hours. If you decide to come out fly to San Diego. Hell, I will even pick you up and take you to the hotel as repentance for being a bit of a jerk.

Wil Wheaton - is there anything he can't do? (I really will have to try this!)

libranoelrose: There are a lot of craft brewers on Fark.

How many of you guys have been contacted by Drew for advice?

Not once.  And I would give advice for free!

Lando Lincoln: Drew will probably want to have it aged in whiskey barrels. I farking hate whiskey-tinged beer. If you want to drink a whiskey, then drink whiskey. Don't drink beer.

I still like you because you brew, too, but you lost some huge points with that post.  :(

/please tell me you don't like CDA, please!

Coming on a Bicycle: Since when can beer brewing be done in one day?

Since the beginning of brewing?

You're thinking of fermentation. That can't be done in one day.

And I don't like bourbon-tinged beer either! Just to knock me a few more pegs down in your book, since I'm already falling.

I haven't had a CDA yet, so I can't comment on whether I'd like the style or not.

In the beginning of brewing, it took about a week to produce the first mash.  They didn't have their malting process down like we do now and they didn't use heat to their advantage like we do now.  But yes, not counting the malting process, modern brewing takes about 4-6 hrs on average.

Bourbon is whiskey, but, OK, I get the idea.  So you probably don't like Gueuze either I'm guessing?

CDA is an abomination of beer, and anyone that brews or drinks it should be ashamed.  I'll gladly be knocked down a peg or two on anyone's list by saying that.

Brew on!
