I don't know why the author is going on about how hard the game was. I beat it as a kid, at least I think I did. I can't remember.

I *never* got the Bankrupt Sad Scrooge ending.  Very interesting.

That said, I love the game.  It was fun all the way around, and the Moon theme is solid gold.

I thought it was easy enough and didn't have much trouble with it.

The author says that he had some particular trouble with the moon level, but it's really not terrible.  You find the remote in the UFO, get GizmoDuck to blast the wall down, and beat the mouse boss.  It's a piece of cake.

I've been meaning to find a way to watch DuckTales the Movie online, I used to love that film.

Disney assigned a proprietary consultant to the project without knowing that the man they assigned was largest Duck Tales nerd known to exist.

The remastered game music is amazing.

They managed to get the ORIGINAL VOICE ACTOR FOR SCROOGE, if I remember right.

The man's friggen 94 at this point, but he happily did the voice again.

That's just all kinds of awesome.

Duck Tales was easy

Now Rescue Rangers, that was a PITA unless you did the extra life trick.

Jesus Christ.

Yesterday I saw a link here or on Reddit or something hat got that song in my head.  Last night a bachelor party a 300 lb South Korean broke into that song for no reason at all.

Now this.

What the hell internet?  What is it with you and this song this weekend?

Same. It was a good game but easy.

I played the original Gameboy version on countless car trips. Beat it frequently. By Nintendo standards it was a fairly easy game.

Rescue Rangers was still a lot of fun.

Still, I'm glad that they remade DuckTales instead of Rescue Rangers (but who knows, maybe they'll remake that, too!).

I've been going through the World of Longplays YouTube channel, and I came across... this... thing. Maybe they could remake that to provide any farking clue whatsoever as to WTF is happening.

Just releasing the original library on a rom pack would be worth it.

All of the Famicon games together would add up to like a gigabyte or two, tops. They could totally make that DLC.

Capcom did some really good stuff with the Disney franchise.

Why would they remake what is basically a string of quick time events?

Random weird thought: the final level was one of the regular levels repeated.  How often does that happen in video games?  Another game like this I can think of is Rockman X2.

June Foray, the voice of Magicka DeSpell, is ninety-five years of age and she reprises the voice of the character for the game.

At least two voice actors are deceased, however, and thus their characters were recast by necessity.

Not this one. I remember getting it for Christmas when I was something like 6 or 7 years old. My older brother had beaten it before noon the next day, and my mother was really pissed for spending full retail price for such an easy game. I don't remember exactly how long it took me, but I think it was less than a week.

I still enjoyed replaying the game over and over, though, and now, I guess I'll have no choice but to play it again to appease the nostalgia gods...

They have the show on DVD at Costco for $8.99 per "volume" right now -- about 27 episodes apiece. (Vol. 2 has the pilot movie, for some reason.) They had Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin and Darkwing Duck as well. (I think Amazon has them for the same price.)

I couldn't pass up the chance to get a good chunk of the series for my daughter. Gotta raise the girl right.

Regarding Rescue Rangers, I do know I beat the game but I found the boss right before fat cat to be most troublesome.  I recall it was a caterpillar that would fall apart when hit and its body parts would bounce around the screen or something like that.  Anyway, it was a fun game.
