And you had to post THAT spoiler in open text here?

GEEZ man!

Merle in a self reflective moment he states "because I'm an asshole"

2013-03-24 09:04:09 PM

hammerbeck: "The Walking Dead" is essentially the same show as "My Three Sons" in every detail.

I think it compares more to "The Gilmore Girls", what with all the snappy banter.

Popcorn Johnny: Jerseysteve22: Someone posted a picture of Merle shooting the governor

If that turns out to be true, I'm gonna choke the shiat out of your spoiling ass.

How do you choke an ass?

i don't know how Rick can be so short sighted

"Fringe" is "The Gilmore Girls" with science.

This is all gonna end in tears.

Why does Rick think that the Governor is going to keep his word?  Someone that stupid shouldn't be in charge of the group.

violentsalvation: Mentat: thismomentinblackhistory: ecmoRandomNumbers: I can't believe I just started to watch this show yesterday on Netflix. Before I realized it, I'd watched 7.5 hours of it.

What took you so long?

Well, each episode is an hour, and there are 22 episodes per season, so...

These good cable TV shows have a lot less than 22 episodes a season.

Breaking Bad is getting away with only 8 episodes the last two seasons.

You can't give up that Ninja Rick!

COME AND GIT IT! DINNERTIME, WALKERS!

2013-03-24 09:09:24 PM
It seems out of character for Rick to be blindly trusting The Governor like this.

I guess Hundai made them take the Chevy badge off of the pickup truck?

Mentat: Well, each episode is an hour, and there are 22 episodes per season, so...

Season one only had six episodes, and season two only had 13 episodes.

Someone posted a picture of the Governor with a Sonic Screwdriver and.... wait, wrong picture.

This episode seems very Merle-centric. I feel he's not much longer for this cruel world.

2013-03-24 09:12:48 PM
He took Maggie to last week's "Talking Dead"?

Do you possess a pair balls?

2013-03-24 09:14:49 PM
So we had a truly decent episode. Then a full hour of two guys charter developing around a table. Then last week an episode with the governor playing Randall Flagg yet again. Setting up the handcuffs for when the good survivor camp sacrifices one of their own to the evil survivor camp while his blond turncoat mistress has a moral quandary.

I see the delegation of good people Sheriff Abigail has chosen are off on their journey.

Yes.  He keeps them in is pocket.

Merle's giving the Tony Montana speech I see..

2013-03-24 09:16:06 PM
"Badguy" speech from "Scarface" coming

As MrsOLG said, "The anvils of subtlety are heavy this episode"

Bible study!! I hope someone brought snacks!!

2013-03-24 09:17:11 PM
Oh hai there ghost Lori.

2013-03-24 09:17:16 PM
Why didn't Merle tell Rick the same thing he told Herschel? He's gotta know that giving up Michonne won't be the end of it!

OMG Ghost of Lori talked some sense into Rick.  She's more useful dead than alive.

Especially since Nicotero is in charge of this episode. That guy loves his blood

2013-03-24 09:18:44 PM
So Herschel is doing "King Lear" while Rick is doing the Scottish Play.

2013-03-24 09:19:38 PM
Kabong!

2013-03-24 09:20:13 PM
Michonne just ran down the full court with that idiot ball.

2013-03-24 09:20:18 PM
What exactly was Merle doing right at the end there?

2013-03-24 09:20:23 PM
merle is just doing his job, or maybe trying to suck up to the Guvner.

2013-03-24 09:20:45 PM

Tying her up

2013-03-24 09:21:27 PM
Michonne seems like a pretty smart, if not overly guarded, type of person. She's apparently cool with walking alone through a zombie filled prison with Merle now? I guess she forgot that just a week or so ago he was trying to kill her?

eagles95: OtherLittleGuy: As MrsOLG said, "The anvils of subtlety are heavy this episode"

And to be perfectly honest, I watch the show for the blood, not the subtlety. I'm not knocking good story-telling, tension-building, character development, etc. That makes the story better. But when it boils down to it, I watch to see people kill zombies.

2013-03-24 09:22:38 PM
Merle's getting shiat done in a world gone mad

/probably will backfire on him, but eh makes for an interesting turn of events
//hopefully Michonne will chop off his other hand and poke out the gov's other eye at the exchange, for the lulz

2013-03-24 09:23:19 PM

fusillade762: One Bad Apple: Poorly. Because the writers/director have no tactical sense themselves. All the gun battles so far have been amateurishly FILMED not just fought. I can understand that the combatants have little or no training so they don't perform well but it just looks like terrible cliche by the numbers Hollywood firefights.

They should get Christopher McQuarrie's brother to choreograph the firefights for them. This movie has some of the best staged shootouts I've ever seen:

[The Way of The Gun.jpg]

Oh, God, now I've got flashback sympathy pains from the water-fountain scene. Awesome shootout, though - fantastic use of location. Saw it years ago, and it immediately came back to mind when you mentioned it.

/they apparently had to make up and design all the bottle labels, as every major brand who'd agreed under the pretext of 'broken bottles in a dried up well/fountain' balked when they saw the final script.

Taking the phone was smart. Until they get cell service back everyone will have to travel with a land line.

He can call Frank Darabont from the road.

Or, if nothing else, use it to get out of the Matrix. Don't know why no one's done it sooner.
