Weaver95: look - we all know china is trying to hack into our computer networks.  they also are heavily involved in industrial espionage against the US and US based corporations.  they're doing some very bad things and they manage to succeed more often than you'd think.  But we're not gonna do anything about it.  they're a major trading partner and they've got us by the balls.

so ya might as well relax and enjoy the experience.  it's gonna happen no matter what.

hey man, if it's a legitimate hacking, there are ways to shut the whole thing down. namely, killing the mains.

I'm sure the non-existence of the World Wide Web had something to do with it. And one of the most legendary hacking-type attacks in the history of the Internet, the Morris Worm, occurred during Reagan's second term.

But hey, why curtail your rants due to pesky things like facts or intelligence?

well...I think the problem is more with industrial espionage and copyright infringement than it is with critical infrastructure here in the states.  companies cover up a LOT of security breeches that would make their investors shiat bricks if they knew how much had been stolen.

Does the zipper stay up?

We could always just sell them the secret technology; see A123 battery.

Having toilet paper in the "over" configuration in the public bathrooms in Congress is excessive to him.

AuralArgument: Remember when one country hacking through another country actually meant blood, carnage and fatherless children being raised for revenge?

Ahh those where the days.

Didn't Richard Clarke cover this 2 or 3 years ago in his book Cyber War? I think I recall him saying in the book that he warned Clinton of this.
