He should go back to music.

I never hated his work.  I was not fond of things he was in (Notebook) but he did his job.

Wait, what happened?  Oh, whatever, never mind.

Zarquon's Flat Tire: I never hated his work.  I was not fond of things he was in (Notebook) but he did his job.

Drive was a great little crime movie, so I'd recommend that one, although his role seemed to mostly involve him brooding. The rest of the considerable acting talent in the movie did most of the heavy lifting.

Amanda Bynes is miffed that HER retirement announcement was met with zero fanfare.

Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a female. This is one of those times.

It's sad that people might actually use this thing. I like the guy & his acting but I'm going into meltdown just because he's taking a break from acting. Who cares? It's not like I have a chance at banging the guy anyway. Some people shouldn't be allowed to leave the house because stupid spreads like wildfire around here.

Stupid brain. Meant to say I'm NOT going into meltdown. :/

Who?

Are they pretty sure mumblemouth said "retirement"? He could have been ordering pizza for all we know.

Yeah, I didn't love that movie as much as the internet seemed to think I should but it was pretty damn decent flick.  Hope he didn't get paid per line.

Apparently he's in the area getting ready to shoot his movie and it stars Christina Hendricks, one of the doctors, and Eva Mendes. I wouldn't mind running into any of them, but all I hear is people seeing him at Starbucks.

I liked Ryan well enough in The Notebook, but haven't seen any of his other stuff at all. I'm kinda excited about the Matt Smith collaboration though and might give his directorial debut a shot.

He's great in Blue Valentine and the one where he plays the crackhead teacher, Half Nelson. Been meaning to see Lars and the Real Girl.

Ryan Gosling is alot like Paul Rudd - a decent enough actor and all that, but so goddamned generic and bland that he just sucks the life out of anything remotely interesting.

I never saw the appeal. It's not that he's bad, just that he's unremarkable.

Decent actor, there are far worse out there.  I'll give him credit for making this move despite the money he's leaving on the table.

Captures that movie perfectly.  I thought his portrayal as someone with severe autism was spot on.

Nailed it. I thought the white satin jacket with the scorpion on the back was pretty bad-ass. Too bad I don't have the $160 to spare to get one.

I thought Lars was a really well done movie. I liked the quirkiness of the characters and the concept was pretty original, which in these days, is a breath of fresh air. Granted, it may not be for everyone, but it is definitely worth seeing.

He is awesome in The Believer where he plays a self-hating Jewish Neo-Nazi. He's also great in Blue Valentine. Sorry to see him go.
