The Shamwow guy has made millions from direct to DVD movies that are ripoffs of Kentucky Fried Movie/Just for laughs crap.

I'm going to bet that teens will see this movie in droves...because it is so stupid.

Perhaps the only thing you need to know about Vince Offer's InAPPropriate Comedy is that (spoiler? can you spoil a film that you sincerely hope no one you've ever met sees? beware?) it ends with the reveal that everything that has taken place previously, every deeply unfunny sketch, every ham-fisted attempt at stirring up controversy, every minute of offensive material presenting itself as shocking cultural commentary, has taken place in Lindsay Lohan's vagina.

Well, that's already spoiled based on the smell.

Bubububut it was made in Germany, so you KNOW it's gonna be good!!!

Yeah, no.
He had one movie prior to this, The Underground Comedy Movie.

Opening Weekend: $856 (USA) (14 May 1999)

I don't know about "millions," but I remember them selling that piece of shiat on DVD via informerical on late night TV, and that was how it supposedly turned it profit.  On his wikipedia page, he claims he sold 50,000 copies.

The thing that disappointed me the most was that it wasn't faithful to the book. In the book, everything actually took place in Kim Kardashian's vagina. Changing it to Lohan's vagina really ruined it for me.

That figure kinda makes me question how they determine the revenues for straight-to-DVD flicks (a few people claimed they rented it, so was only one copy sold to a rental store?). But that is amusing as hell for a film starring tom sizemore. "Star Power" (tm).

Birdemic was way worse than Manos. At least Manos had memorable characters like Torgo and the Master, and at least made an attempt at a (bad) plot. The only thing I took away from Birdemic is that I should invest in Solar Panels.

The Bed that Eats People is worse than Manos.

Dwight Yokum's vanity project (I can't even bring myself to type the name) is worse than Manos.

For instance, Barn of the Blood Llama.

Which required a member of our group *mailing a member of the cast* to get our hands on.

... It made Manos seem watchable.

Other gems include, as someone above mentioned, Birdemic.

I like the part where he beats up a hooker.

Oh wait, no I don't.

And Mr. Brody, not that you were admired before, but way to flush whatever shine you had down the toilet.

Saw an ad for this one the other night and I was like WTF? Looks like somebody didn't learn the lesson of "Movie 43".

propasaurus: WTF Adrien Brody?

He was actually decent in "Predators". That movie pleasantly surprised me when I caught it on cable. It certainly beat the crap out of "AvP: Requiem". *shudder*

If you enjoyed the strangeness of Zardoz, and you're a Sean Connery fan, you should check out  Sword of the Valiant: The Legend of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight if you haven't already.

I've driven in Boston...it would have to be a pretty goddamned good movie for me to do that ever again.

2013-03-24 12:31:06 AM
Though to clarify, it helps to be more of a fan of the weirdness than Sean Connery, because he doesn't have a huge amount of screen time in Sword of the Valiant, but there is plenty of weird.

This is already a bad year for comedies. Movie 43, A Haunted House, Identity Thief and Scary Movie 5 is coming, which looks just like A Haunted House.

If this doesn't have Golden Raspberry written all over it, then the proclamations of the Razzie's demise from earlier this year will have proven true.

/they'll just give the Razzie to the latest Adam Sandler movie out of habit

Accidentally (read: drunk) bought "The Underground Comedy Movie" about a decade ago.

Absolute worst piece of garbage I've ever seen. Nothing at all redeeming about it. It wasn't funny, it wasn't shocking, and the only thing offensive in "OMG THE MOST OFFENSIVE MOVIE EVER" was the lack of the director's ability to yell "cut"

The Room is so bad it comes full circle back to freaking awesome. It's one thing to intentionally make a bad movie (like InAPPropriate Comedy). It's something completely different to have the best intentions from the start and fall completely on your face. Tommy Wiseau channeled Ed Wood when directing The Room.

Just yesterday saw some clips from "The Room" on youtube.  It looked like it was too bad to be enjoyable.  Yeah, it was incredibly stupid but just seemed like it would get boring and unwatchable very quickly.

Best bad movie?  "Sleep-Away Camp," IMHO.  And it gets a little creepy at the end, even!

I don't care what you say about Adrien Brodey.
"Giallo" was such a terrible movie that I have started to tell people that I've never seen "Suspiria" before and don't know who Dario Argento is.
But, hey look!  He's got a big nose!
