A guy at work told me today that NYC was going to obliterated by a meteor next week "I saw it on the news!"

I walked away without bothering to respond.

Dammit if he was right I'll feel like an asshole.

Old farts makin' old movie references.

"War of the Worlds" (1953) was the first movie I ever bought on VHS (this was years before DVDs existed).

Yeah... but we get the references, so at least we're not full on Alzheimer's yet

/WotW wasn't my first VHS movie, but I started collecting vintage sci-fi soon after
//love it almost to the O/C point

I love vintage sci-fi & horror, especially from the 1950s.

I've seen that version, though I do have to admit my father loves 50's sci-fi.  That era is far too campy for my tastes as a whole, but that version still blows the remake out of the water.

QFT

And as does the 1951 version of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". I refuse to waste my time watching the Keanu Reeves version. It's an insult, not just to the original movie, but fans of good sci-fi in general.

John Cleese should be ashamed for appearing in that dreck of a flick.

God dammit, I was aiming for northwestern Massachusetts.

Well, guess it's back to the drawing board. I'll recalibrate The Device, make a couple minute adjustments here and there, and see if any more of these headlines pop up next week.

So 10 seconds before the lights went out during the Super Bowl, the clock stopped on 13:22. 322 is the Skull and Bones secret number and now we have an asteroid impacting near Baltimore (winners of the Super Bowl) on 3/22, the same day Baltimore gets told by the NFL they won't get the usual home opener. We are through the looking glass here people.

And of course, it was all foreshadowed in the Dark Knight Rises football scene:
static.infowars.com

The only possible conclusion is that whoever gets the home opener for the NFL next year is getting hit by an illuminati asteroid. Your welcome.
