That's true.

I had him figured out to be a cretin, but he might actually only be a buffoon.

It's true.  Danny Masterson has the opposite problem.

Are you sure he doesn't rise to the level of nitwit?

How bright can he be, he was on a show with Mila Kunis and that red head and decided it would be a better idea to marry a chick old enough to be his mother. Sure he got around to Mila like 15 years later but that's called slow.

On second thought, I don't think he could get past addlepated. Never mind.

I gave him credit for being a douche.  In all fairness, okay Ashton, you're more than a douche.  Feel better now, double-douche?

The man's dumb as a rock. Rich as f*ck, but dumb as a rock.

Blind gossip item about him and his Steve Jobs movie which has been shelved:

This A list mostly television actor has a movie coming out. Well, it was coming out, but there needs to be some reshoots and our actor refuses to do it and has said that he won't do any press for the movie either because he feels like everyone on the crew disrespected him. Well, if he was not such a crap actor they would not have laughed at him everytime he tried to a scene.

"There's something advantageous about having people underestimate your intellect, insomuch as a lot of things are revealed to you. They assume you don't know what you're talking about, then all of a sudden, you do. And the next thing you know, you have information you wouldn't normally have."

I read that in Kelso's voice, which is hysterical.

/don't think he's particularly stupid

Just generally.

In related news, Ashton Kutcher overestimates his own intellect.

Didn't he start out his adult life in college for biological engineering, and only took up modeling/acting as a lark?  And it just kind of turned out.  I don't hate the guy, I think he's a decent comedic actor that just hasn't done a whole lot outside of that.

He has billions and can bang hotter chicks than I've ever seen. I'd say he has the advantage.

He was on Bill Maher a couple times. Said reasonably insightful things as much as I can recall. I don't think he's a super intellectual, but he doesn't come off as a complete idiot.

No.  He tried to go to UI majoring in biological engineering, but got kicked out.  He actually got his taste for acting in HS.  He fell into it after failing at everything else.  You know, the George Clooney story only with a jail record.

I believe he made his fortune mostly by investing in high tech startups and restaurants.

Now he's making $700k per episode on 2 1/2 men.

Are you sure he's stupid?

2013-03-22 11:16:46 PM
Actually, if he is capable of real intellectual endeavour and wastes his life on nonsensical entertainment industry rubbish then he is, in a sad sense, truly stupid.

(oh wait, I can talk.. I spend my days making stupid websites and business bullcrap. goddamitsomuch I need a worthwhile job)

Banged Demi Moore...check.
Banged Mila Kunis...check.
Brittany Murphy, January Jones, Monet Mazur...check,check,check.
Has more than $17.50 in his wallet...check.
Several hit TV shows, and a few movies under his belt...check and check.

I don't care if he's weapons grade stupid, I'll take that life any day.

Yeah, but people on the internet think he's dumb! Could you really live with that?

I would say so, since that Urkel kid made $1 mil per episode 15 years ago.  And that kid was unheard of before that character.

I think they own the fark out of you at that level.

He's no slouch for sure (he was doing bio engineering at collage) but he consistently acts like a fool. Another example of someone smart continually being quite farking stupid.

Ashton Kutcher is one of today's greats. Up there with Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Ultra-talented, rugged heartthrobs.

On top of that he's been very vocal in opposition to things like human trafficking and sex-trade slavery, putting in lots of time and money into the cause to get these abolished.

He may sometimes play the goofball, but he's just acting. And he's damned good at it.

2013-03-23 01:28:04 AM
Ashton Kutcher was an early investor in Skype, Spotify, Foursquare, AirBnb, Fab.com, and Seatgeek, among other firms.

yep, what a dumbass! ahahahaha!

I never estimated he had any intellect.

2013-03-23 01:39:37 AM
I'm not a fan of his, but people who think he's stupid are probably pretty f*cking stupid themselves.

I'd imagine the guy probably has a higher IQ than nearly any of Hollywood's elite, including a number of directors known for "smart movies."

"The truth is that I'm an idiot. I am. I don't do things by the rules sometimes. I say things that I probably shouldn't say. I push buttons. I deserve to be made fun of."

Maybe he was just waiting for her to get old enough. No accounting for taste.

From what I read, he wasn't kicked out of college, although he wasn't very exceptional at it.  A lot of partying instead of studying, but you can say that about a lot of college students.  I remember him saying in an interview that he got kicked out of his apartment during college, but not of college itself.

And, according to his story anyway, he was approached in a bar for a modeling gig, which turns out it was ACTUALLY A REAL MODELING GIG and that led to acting.

/all his version of the story, anyway
//but feel free to hate his very being

It's so easy to confuse actors with their characters.  People think Ashton Kutcher is stupid for the same reason everyone who sees Robert Maschio offers him a high five.

If he does not want people to think he is dumb, he needs to stop playing roles that showcase him being dumb.

He's pretty dumb. I put him about a half-step above Danny Glover.
