Meh. Didn't really. While looking at images of other people's happiness will stimulate a similar response in the brains of most people, ultimately, it's not the viewer's life that is altered. For the viewer, it's only a temporary chemical reaction.

My eyes have been inappropriately touched, arrest him again.

It's this Trekker getting the nerdy proposal he's always dreamed of.

Gay men dream of how they are proposed to? I thought they were more manly than that.

I just found the 'unlikely' tag tied up in the back.

I guess when my aunt submitted this the FW:FW:FW:FW:FW at the beginning got left out.

While I momentarily felt better this hasn't really changed my life in any way.

I mean, it's just a bunch of pictures I've already seen, all put into one place and passed off as an article. Why didn't I stick with Journalism? It seems like it's gotten awfully easy.

Screw you guys, my life was totally changed. I haven't exactly identified  how, but I'm certain that it was. Subby wouldn't lie to me. Subby never lies. Ever. I always trust Subby. Subby and the guy on the corner named "Skiv". If you can't trust Subby and Skiv, who can you trust? Subby never lies, and Skiv has never sold me a baggie of oregano.

Now that I think about it, links to anything on the huffington post-a-bunch-of-shiat-hoping-to-get-ad-revenue definitely fits Fark's "it's not news" motto.

Or like finding a friend who you thought you'd lost forever.

I liked it. I might even look at it again.

"And it's seeing all your hard work pay off (she's the first in her family going to college!)."

I have to admit, that one made me crack a smile.

Was this really just an Ad for GAY MARRIAGE disguised as pictures of happiness?

/2 out of the 24 promoted Gay lifestyles.  Just saying.

Unlike porn, which gave me a permanent boner years ago..

And 6 out of 24 promoted owning a pet (9 if you count exotic animals). Just saying.

My life was not changed, but I smiled and it brought my spirits up a bit.
So, thank you subby.

Here I've been presented with a few pictures of random people expressing happiness that I never have and probably never will experience.

No, actually, my miserable decrepit pointless life is just as meaningless as it was before. And about two minutes shorter. Thanks for the reminder, though.

Bear in mind Huffpost doesn't pay

The Trek one stumped me. I recognized everyone in that image except the guy proposing and the chick he proposed to.

Pics on HuffPo that are supposed to make MY life meaningful? I ain't no FarkLibtard, so I ain't lookin'.

I guess I was just pointing out that if you're going to be emphasing something that denotes happiness, you should probably avoid making political statements. I can see how some might miss that though.

Just saying.

I liked it too.

Jesus, there's so much shiatty stuff happening, just in the past farking week, seeing happy pictures actually does make me kind of happy. I don't know about life-altering, but mood-altering, yeah.

Hey maybe you're right. Maybe it was a subtle way to piss off bigots so they can't enjoy the article. If that's the case then I would actually have to give them kudos.

Also underwhelmed. General pictures of people being happy?  Fine, but BFD.

What the hell is the QWOP for iOS thing doing in the middle of that? Is that an ad?  I don't get that.

Gay people get killed for being gay in some godforsaken parts of this world, and so the lesbian AWs in front of the crazy xian AWs is supposed to give meaning to my life? I don't get that either.

/I'm guessing the person who made the original post thing on HufPo is gay. NTTIAWWT.

Also: "It's like sharing a laugh with something furry."

Camels can't laugh. They author is just anthropomorphising.

Meh, I don't think you have to be a bigot to be annoyed by those images, just someone that doesn't want politics lumped in with things that should be universally equated to happiness. I'd be pissed off too if they'd shown a pic of George Bush face-fuking Osama bin Laden.

Point is, pics from either end of the political spectrum would be just as annoying. Leave politics out of feel good stories or they no longer become feel good.

Some days it's hard to tell if Fark is becoming more like Reader's Digest or more like Parade magazine.

Actually, you do kind of have to be a bigot to be annoyed by gay people annoying bigots by daring to be happy in front of them.

And political? Are those lesbians some famous politicians I'm unaware of?

Photoshop This: The Trek one stumped me. I recognized everyone in that image except the guy proposing and the chick he proposed to.

What struck me about the Trek photo was the realization that going bald early in life has its advantages. All the Next Generation cast members look noticiably older--except Patrick Stewart, who looks pretty much the same as he did 20 years ago.

Meh, I started antidepressants a little over a week ago, and so far, images on the intrawebs fail to stir me.  Gimme something to believe in and then we'll chat.  In the meantime, back to drooling and rocking back and forth slowly in a corner for me, but it's ok, the meds make it bearable.

You're being wilfully ignorant. Maybe that's what makes YOU happy. Good for you.
