Boeing did this with the Dreamliner. Only Boeing did it while breaking unions (hence better)

The best part about those planes has to be the naming:

First Gen: Pregnant Guppy
Second Gen: Super Guppy

Also they can do this:

It's definitely been updated. That Guppy has the entire front end swing away, meaning that you have a ton of wires and hoses that go to the cockpit that wear a little more every time the door is opened or closed. This one opens above the cockpit. I've always found that to be a potential weak point in the design.

The new one opens, too, just only in the cargo area, leaving the cabin alone. 24 feet diameter is pretty good shakes, too...

Old news is indeed old but still interesting to see.

What a funky looking plane and yeah I am a little surprised that thing can get off the ground.

I prefer the Antonov An-225. If it can't fit its cargo inside, it has plenty of hardpoints on top. Very useful for transporting things like Russian space shuttles.

Just look at the landing gear. I don't know if they've tried it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it could handle dirt/mud runways.

Thing looks stupid as hell, but good job I guess?

/really more economical than just building a new part in the country you're in, or like, assembling planes where they are like, assembled?

This is a completely stupid shot in the dark, but...

Have you ever encountered a problem with bios display routines in ProLiant hardware running insanely full-retard slow (think 300 baud modem slow)? Not POST, not after boot, but just e.g. the boot menu? And do you have a solution?

Yes. Old Proliants had a serial interface option which sorta provided iLo-like functionality for remote console access. Restart to the BIOS settings and look for the remote serial function and disable it.
