The complaint about not being made vertical is missing the metajoke.

This is how the scenes were shot. Sometimes they didn't even try to do a good job with the capes.

If they'd actually had this available in 1966, I'd have gotten one.  It's a little late now.

drongozone: They didn't scale roofs--they scaled walls to get to the roof.

Don't you see the open windows?  Duh!

They both have their hands ready to grip the Batpole.

Other way 'round - looks like Batman's rubbin Robin.

I would love a new Batman game based on the tv series.

Nemo's Brother: I would love a new Batman game based on the tv series.

That would probably encounter the same obstacles that releasing the series on DVD ran into. IIRC, while WB owns the characters now, Fox owns the old series.

God, the writing on Topless Robot has gotten really awful since Bricken left.

I want a "Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb!" playset.

The only thing that gives me the slightest bit of optimism about the DVD now is that I would think that WB and Fox had to come to some sort of agreement in order for these figures to be made(and I think Mattel also licensed the 1966 series Batmobile as well).

That said, they'd probably gimp it just like the WKRP series, anytime someone demanded payment for something where the rights were ambiguous, they'd probably just cut it.
