You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.

Upon reading that headline Wernicke and Broca stormed into my room, started beating me with a baseball bat, and then jumped out through my window.

FTA: Earlier today an unidentified man visited the house where the shooting took place and had a confrontation with a man who answered the door. He gesticulated wildly before the man closed the door and then getting in a car, backed up the street, lept out and ran into the home of Caleb Gordley.

timharrod: They don't have "snuck" in the UK?

Its cromulence in American English is still debated.

/Plenty of other articles on the subject if you search for "snuck etymology"; brief scan of a few of them suggests you're better to avoid "snuck" in formal writing.

It's okay, we forgive you for shooting dead our child who cannot tell the difference between houses and refuses to listen to directions. Makes things easier on us in the long run, plus we can start over and try for a smarter one this time.

I can see the difficulty the teen had before he was shot dead.

"Hi, I just moved to this neighborhood, can you tell me which house is mine?"

If there's an intruder in your house, and you have called the police, why go after them with a gun? I know you have a RIGHT to do it, but it's a stupid, unsafe thing to do.

Cat-like headline aside; that's damn classy of the parents involved to publicly forgive the old guy next door. I figured the next we'd hear of it; they'd be trying to sue the old guy into oblivion.

While I was serving aboard a high endurance cutter in the CG back in the late eighties, a shipmate woke up after a drunk and found himself in the bunk that should have been his, but he was on the wrong ship. There were four almost identical ships that tied up at the same pier. How he got past the watchstander at  the quarterdeck is beyond me.

Parents forgive neighbor who shot dead high school athlete after teen mistakenly sneaked into wrong house two doors down from his own home

Why did the neighbor shoot the dead high school athlete? Was he already dead? Then why shoot him? Am I confused?

Those houses don't "appear similar" from the back. "Oh, hey, mom and dad put in a patio while I was out. And they moved in the back fence by about 40 feet. Well, whatever."

England is like the size of Idaho. They probably get bored reading about yobs and eel pie and how best to leech all taste from formerly delicious ingredients.

"shot dead" is a compound verb. I don't find this headline hard to understand in the slightest, but I used to write headlines. Headline writing got a lot lazier when pagination allowed you to make any old crap fit, instead of having to write for the space.

Great Britain has, like, 500 murders a year in a country the size of California (compared to 1,800 in real California). And hardly any of those involve suburban adults accidentally killing good kids, so yeah, they have to import those because they're Daily Fail meat and potatoes.

Hoopy Frood: Those houses don't "appear similar" from the back. "Oh, hey, mom and dad put in a patio while I was out. And they moved in the back fence by about 40 feet. Well, whatever."

That's what I was going to say. The house has a balcony over the front door and the 2 car garage is on the other side. I guess they appear similar because they are both made from brick.

2013-03-21 01:32:06 PM
This happened right down the street from me.  I'm not surprised the poor kid could not tell the houses apart, they all look like the same McMansions you typically see in a richie neighborhood.  And to really top it off, those houses look way out of place compared to the houses across the street.
