Look, libs, this has nothing to do with Obama's race, but his laziness is a black mark against the country and a dark spot on the history of the White House. Electing this coo- erm, this community organizer sets a black President - Dammit! - a bad precedent for the office. Are we just going to elect any uppity samb... ocialist... sbocialist. Socialist! Are we just going to elect any uppity socialist now? Is that the sort of element we want on Pennsylvania Ave?

what_now: Roger, you're not exactly breaking rocks into smaller rocks yourself, are you?

What do you know about it? What do you know about getting up at five o'clock in t'morning to fly to Paris... back at the Old Vic for drinks at twelve, sweating the day through press interviews, television interviews and getting back here at ten to wrestle with the problem of a homosexual nymphomaniac drug-addict involved in the ritual murder of a well known Scottish footballer. That's a full working day, lad, and don't you forget it!

"Obama's the one who never worked a day in his life," Ailes said in Zev Chafets' book "Roger Ailes: Off Camera." "He never earned a penny that wasn't public money. How many fundraisers does he attend every week? How often does he play basketball and golf? I wish I had that kind of time. He's lazy, but the media won't report that."

so lets take a moment here and follow this thought.  For the sake of argument, lets assume this is a true statement - Obama is lazy, stupid and easily distracted.  But we know he got re-elected to office and beat Romney.  stop and consider what the Republicans are saying here: a lazy, unfocused stupid black man managed to beat Mitt Romney in a landslide election.  that means the GOP is saying Romney is WORSE than Obama.  I mean that's the only conclusion you can come too - if Obama is lazy and stupid but wins, then the guy he beat MUST be even more lazy and stupid.  If Romney was any good at all, he'd have won.

But even that doesn't work.  look, if you assume that Obama is lazy and stupid...then even if he cheated to win, he's STILL lazy and stupid.  that lazy and stupid guy somehow managed to cheat and win?  and not get caught doing it?  that doesn't make any sense.  again, the only conclusion you can come to is that the GOP is even MORE stupid than Obama.  if the stupid guy managed to cheat and you can't figure out how he did it, what does that say about your own party?

Mistymtnhop: Philip Francis Queeg: Mistymtnhop: Have we ever had a "Super-genuis"president?

Jefferson, maybe? Of course his genius didn't stop him from being a truly lousy President.

Okay, Jefferson. I can agree with that one. Although, I'm not too bright apparently, I was trying to remember if he was second or third president. So I decided to Google him, but I can't think of his first name, so I say to my husband and 14 year old daughter, "President Jefferson, what was his first name, George, right?" My daughter just looks at me and sighs "Thomas." That JUST happened after I read your comment.

/still having my coffee, my only excuse.

But the GOP has already decided that Mitt Romney was the wrong candidate - not conservative enough. Just like he was the wrong guy during the primaries. It was only between Mitt's clinching the nomination and the election that he was the Ultimate Champion of Reagan's Legacy and Conservative Values. The minute after that: under-the-bus time.
