Well I guess this really eliminates all that khan crap.

Good to see that there's something for the Dads in Alice Eve's portrayal of Carol Marcus.

Why is it that when I open a page that has more than one video embedded in it, my computer sounds like it's about to explode, locks up, gives me an 'unresponsive script' error and takes 10 minutes to "load"

It's a 2009 iMac.  Not like it's a 10 year old PC!!

Looks awesome- I can't wait to see this...and Abrams really did turn down the lens flare, it seems. I still think BC's character is an augment, but not khan. We'll see in a couple of months, though.

In that scene where he's flying the chopper gunship thing, were there things floating around his head, or was that just me?

that was transporter thingies being activated.

however, what's up w/ showing the enterprise crashing?  I'm surprised JJ would show probably the biggest part of the movie in a trailer.

Ah silly me, it's the transporter beam.

/I need to wake up more before posting

I believe that was the indication of an impending transport out.

I don't think I could ever picture Shatner's Kirk ever saying he didn't know what to do. I doubt Shatner's ego would allow a line like that.

Yup, I'll be seeing this in IMAX.

Looks great. This is everything i wanted old Star Trek to be.

Just watched the first one..   Oh.  My.  Gawd.

That's a LOT more story revealed than anything else we've seen before.

I'm with you on this. I liked Star Trek growing up, but I always wanted darker, more dangerous storylines. And to actually bleed when they got hurt (that always aggravated me). Everyone in star fleet always acts the same, and they worship the prime directive while always finding clever ways around it, never getting in trouble. So yeah, I think this movie is pretty much everything I wanted in Star Trek...and Benedict Cumberbatch is the icing on the cake as a villain.

Ye ole Youtube edition.

Was going to be part of the usual whagrabalgarbal these threads create. Too tired today.

Looks great. Will see it in the theaters. That's all.

Peace out ya'll.

It would be awesome if the villain tinkered with the transporter calculations from the future that Spock gave Scotty in the first one to transport from planet to planet at will.  That would make him nearly impossible to catch, while closing a plothole from the first one.

Seems all the listed trailers are identical, save for the language.. and UK and Australian versions seem to be identical.

Now, if he REALLY wanted to bring the downfall of the federation, he'd find the planet killer and since he's SOOOOO smart and dreamy he'd figure a way to reprogram it so you can't just fly crap into it's mouth and kill it and send it on its way to earth.

I really with the didn't show the Enterprise crashing.  I'm fine with it happening in the movie, but that seems like kind of a big development to show in the trailers.

Trailers are getting worse and worse. I swear with with Olympus has Fallen I think we've seen the entire film. Same thing with Tom Cruise's Oblivion.

From now on I'm going to wait in the lobby of the theater until the previews are over.

It's misleading. The one crashing into San Francisco is not the Enterprise, but a similar ship. You can tell by the pixels.

There was a phrase.. someone on Fark describing Cumberbach's voice.. a 'jaguar trapped in a cello', perhaps?

Best voice since Rickman (and apparently Cumberbatch does a hilarious impression of Rickman, too.)

I'd love to have a chance to check that out.

If the writers of the TV or movies would have ever delivered a script with that line to Shatner, I'm pretty sure he would have killed them right there with his bare hands.

I'm betting Cumberbatch will have collected a Best Actor Oscar for something and Martin Freeman will rule the universe by then.

Oh, and I'm betting they wouldn't show the ship crashing in the trailer if it were the biggest and most important development of the story.

To be fair, they're an hour and a half each, so really 9 1/2 hour episodes, or 4 1 hour episodes.
