At this point, I am convinced that we are all being trolled. I don't know who is trolling us, or why, or what they want of us - but we are being trolled.

Thanks.  Not sure if funny or sad.

Sad. Another mentally unstable dude who should not have a gun who has a gun. Let's ban 15-round magazines and AR-15s to solve this problem!

you are so right

this situation would have been so much better if he had been well equipped with his 'man card' issued ar-15 and double drum 100 round mag

that would have been SOOOOOO much better

iheartscotch: MFAWG: Delay: I assume the NRA will insist that he can continue to purchase more guns and most Republicans will support fervently his second amendment rights to do so.

By the way, Wal-Mart sells more guns than any other store. Live by the guns you sell and your employees will likely die by the guns you sell.

In Alaska, you can buy a handgun at the supermarket.

Yes, really.

Wally World sells guns in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado too. Some states sell hard liquor in super markets. Saying Alaska SELLS GUNS IN SUPERMARKETS, OMG; just makes you look foolish.

Now where did you see me put a value judgement on it, you hypersensitive numbnuts?

It makes perfect sense to sell large caliber handguns at a supermarket in Fairbanks. It may not make sense in other localities

Ned Stark: That's interesting.

And just a touch creepy.

*shrugs* That's pretty much the case in most public places, stores, etc. in most states -- if it's not posted "no guns on premises" or is otherwise not legally designated as a "gun free zone" (certain states list churches, universities, etc. as such zones) then licensed people can carry there. It's not really a problem.

HotWingConspiracy: Yeah, it's probably best that we don't curb this gentleman's ability to get even more firepower.

The laws already on the books will prevent him from legally getting any more firepower. Additional laws are not necessary for that.

1) If only x was armed
2) Good thing those "Gun free zones" work
3) ohboygunthread.gif
4) Responsible Gunowner!

Just a quick note: Walmart is not a "gun free zone". Customers are allowed to carry in stores, as long as they follow all local laws. *Associates* however, are not allowed to carry or even *touch* a firearm unless it is being handled as a piece of merchandise i.e. it is in a box.

That's interesting.

And just a touch creepy.

Few national retail chains prohibit by policy the carrying of concealed firearms by patrons who are breaking no law in doing so.

Well yeah, now that will work. There was nothing stopping him from owning an Ar-15 prior to him going all bald eagle freedom force on the Walmart stooge.

Details like this are needed to determine who to sue for damages.

The real question appears to be: Can Poor People be Trusted with Guns?

Apparently not.

Yet republicans just want more of them to be armed. Why would that be, do you think?

Easy tiger! Those nuts were a gift!

If you were saying that being able to get a large caliber gun isn't a bad thing; then I apologize. From the context of your comment; I felt you were saying it was a bad thing. I was just pointing out that Alaska isn't the only state that does it like that; or might have a justifiable reason to do so.

Now, you see, if I believed in the Afterlife and so forth, the explanation would be simple - God has gone on vacation and left Federico Fellini in charge of the universe, just for a laugh.

Well, he would fit in fine around here.  I can't tell you how many people I know of in this town who are shut-ins or hoveround pilots but also wingnut gun owners.

2013-03-20 07:59:47 PM
If you're on a motorized scooter the dog's leash can't really wrap around your legs can it? Also from the picture, it doesn't even look like he's wearing his prosthetic legs at the time.

Judging by his picture I'm also going to guess he says he has the "sugars" disease.

Want to go way into WTF territory? Some Walmart stores hire uniformed security guards to be a visible deterrence against crime/violence, especially in the stores that are open 24 hours in places like Chicago, Detroit, etc.

The security guards are not allowed to carry firearms inside the store.

He was carrying two pistols, the charges say.

f.kinsburg.ru

Yeah well, a lot of folks did call him "Two-Gun" but that wasn't because he was sporting two pistols. That was because he had a dick that was so big it was longer than the barrel of that Walker Colt that he carried.
