One word of advice, don't plant that shiat in your garden, your cat will love it, but you will never get rid of it and the seeds spread like crazy.

Like most (all?) varieties of mint, it will easily take over if not contained.

Yes, but they like young female interns even more.

Going to hell, I know.

Who were the jerks that complained it wasn't scientific the first time? Its anecdotal information that doesn't exactly require rigorous standards... The way they played with that bag it looked pretty clear they were getting stoned as shiat off the nip.

Cats like certain plants -- they will wander over and roll in that crap all day... My wifes kitty growing up loved "sleepy time" herbal tea bags... she would rip them apart and roll in the insides.

Valerian does the same thing. Those cats are freakin baked...

If you want to biatch about terrible scientific method go complain about myth-busters... I remember the designed an entire system to test croc attacks before they even asked a zoologist how feasable it was.

Do you suppose there's a chance that there weren't many complaints and the BigCatRescue.org people just wanted to make another video of big cats wigging out?  Maybe just a small chance?

Maybe just a small chance.

\I for one would complain if it meant i got to watch more big kitties wigging out...

I'd love to see if this would actually distract the cats away from hunting for prey.

Yeah. If a cat was the size of a dog it would have you for dinner.

As for the main video:
1) Interesting
and
2) So Becks has a new job? I guess that soccer thing didn't work out too well.

The internet.  Providing an endless supply of meaningless yet technically correct pedantry on a moment's notice.  Lovingly handcrafted by the world's most lonely, socially retarded, self-unaware autism spectrum inhabitants and RealDoll target market members since 1989.

Cats tend to end that pretty fast by rolling around on it. Or at least mine did.

Rolling on it?

All of the catnip-loving cats in our neighborhood took turns sleeping in the single pot filled with catnip we had. It lasted a couple months after being noticed.

Seen the comic -- i like it, but really -- you would  expect them to ask a zoologist some base questions before spending money on employees and materials and time building a crazy contraption that that wont even end up testing anything. I get that they encourage scientific thinking but they also accept half assed results, and claim things that have actually happened in real life as 'busted'.

I like that mythbusters encourages application of the scientific method. I dont like that they have possibly the most lazy and open ended interpretation of that method anyone could take.
