You made it sound like a suicide, Subby.

But is he REALLY dead? Or is it all a ruse?

Boooo to you, subby.

Says he was an executive producer, not a producer or writer of the show.

Well apparently he ran out of time

2013-03-20 01:19:13 PM
He'll return in flashbacks where it is revealed that it was not suicide, but... MURDER!

This headline is about as accurate as a Fox News story covering the Iraq war.

This sounds suspicious.

Abu Nazir keeps killing from beyond the grave.

if his death was anything like the show, he got tired of how ridiculous and stupid it was halfway through the first season, and just turned it off and gave up on dying.

Because IMDB is so hard to find apparently:

Homeland (TV series)
 - Broken Hearts (2012) (written by)
 - Q&A (2012) (written by)
 - Representative Brody (2011) (written by)
 - The Good Soldier (2011) (written by)

/and add another "boo" to subby for making it sound like a suicide.

Homeland maintained the excellent until toward the end of season two when they seriously lost the flick.

The show bosses can't believe how fast the fans turned.  They got very defensive after the fan backlash.

My thoughts exactly.

Brody should never have survived Season One.

netringer: Homeland maintained the excellent until toward the end of season two when they seriously lost the flick

I got tired of watching Claire Danes channel her inner Jack Bauer and break protocol or become a superhero analyst lady solving all the crimes while breaking all the rules. It was just 24 all over again with a female lead. And 24 sucked, too (though first two seasons were entertaining). I'm willing to suspend a lot of reality for a tv show, but the entire execution of Homeland was just ridiculous.

The show was terrible even in the first season. If even the hardcore fans think it's bad now, I don't even want to know how bad it's gotten.

Pfft. The best season of 24 was season 5.

All seasons of 24 were great except 6 which was absolutely terrible. 1 and 5 stand out as the best of a great show.

I'm not a big fan of Homeland, but damn! the last 10 minutes of the 2nd season finale had me rolling my eyes until they almost popped out of their sockets. I thought that being a LOST fanatic for the entire run of that show had made me numb to the concept of "plot contrivances" but I actually looked at IMDb to see if Carlton Cuse or Damon Lindelof were involved with Homeland.

netringer: The show bosses can't believe how fast the fans turned. They got very defensive after the fan backlash

Yeah, that was pretty interesting to watch. You'd think they'd have learned from Cuse and Lindelof after the roasting those two chuckleheads got for LOST's season 6.
/Still bitter

What was the fan backlash? I'm a recent convert to the show so wasn't reading Homeland stuff on the internet when it came out. Why did people hate it so much?

Well it started off as a pretty realistic show (more or less) but Season Two's plot twists were so unrealistic that it was hard to watch without audibly groaning sometimes.

Were the twists unrealistic on their own or was it a combination of twists that were hard to swallow?

Should say "rewritten by" because Homeland is a US version of an Israeli series.
