mscleo: Egoy3k: Janusdog: Wow. An entire thread of men who seem to think women give a shiat about men liking what they see. No, boys, it's about not having a butt that looks fat. No woman I know buys them to show you their twat.

Turn off the porn, fellas.

If you think stretching for extended periods of time does anything for your weight then you had better hope that you look damn good doing it, because your brains sure aren't going to get you anywhere. Hell the revealing clothing is probably the only thing about yoga that does help with body fat reduction. It encourages the wearer to be in good shape in order to wear the clothing without looking like somebody stuffed a sack full of cotton-balls.

Yep.  Yoga isn't about weight management.  It's nice and relaxing, but I do squats and sprints for the ass.

I disagree. I know a couple of guys that have dropped anywhere between 30 and 100 lbs by a combination of diet and yoga. No weights, no aerobic exercises, no anaerobic exercises, just yoga. Sure, you're not going to get "swole" like you would with weights, but you will get strong (in a lean sort of way).

If you think yoga is only about flexibility and balance, you probably need to stop going to the women's classes.

I would imagine this would be true for hatha or the like but "yoga" is not one singular defined activity.

A Hot Power Vinyasa class is no joke.  600-1000 calories depending on who you ask.  That is up there with any of the most intense workouts.

But yes most people who do yoga are not doing it for weight loss for obvious reasons.

OK... so it's "about not having a butt that looks fat" yet you want us to believe that we're wrong thinking that "women give a shiat about men liking what they see"....

Why would women not want to have a butt that looks fat if not to have men like what they see?  I guess I'm confused...

Because maybe THEY don't want to look fat for themselves, and want to be fit?

Christ, not everything is for men. Get over it.

And fat.

Neither, although I am married and married men hit on me at the gym. It may be because of my Lulu, I don't really know or care.

Yes. I do HITT, boxing and weightlifting in Lulu. No idea why people think it's only for yoga.

kumanoki: SlothB77: Second: pretty sure that is what most of the girls shopping at Lululemon are going for.  If they didn't want super tight yoga pants that leave nothing to the imagination, they wouldn't be in that store.

Asking for it?

Asking for what?

I would assume that they have mirrors on their homes and can stand naked in front of them all day long if they so choose. They may not being going out in public in skin tight pants with the sole purpose of having people leer at them but they sure as hell should be aware that people will leer at them when they do.

my herniated disc: HotWingConspiracy: The entire point is that it shows off the geesh. Sweatpants would do just as well for yoga, nobody wears them.

I've found it a huge pain in the ass to find work out clothes that aren't tight, at least around here. Sweatpants are often too hot and heavy for certain types of classes. I rarely find find lighter fabric pants that arent at least a little clingy, espcially if I want moisture wicking like underarmour.  I FINALLY found baggy UA pants for women during a recent trip to NY.

I amuse myself by being the only woman in baggy clothes in yoga, kickboxing etc. its a workout for gods sake, not a meat market.

There is only a certain body type that can pull off those tight lululemon type yoga pants anyway, and camel toe is still camel toe, a fashion faux pas regardless how hot you are.

No one takes her lightly.

How could anyone take such a heavy thing lightly?

I doubt if there's enough helium on, in or near the earth to float that boat.

so a woman says that she likes the way she looks in a certain style of clothing, and the response is to tell her to get back in the kitchen?

Well that a promising start to a thread every farker is hoping turns into a "hot girls in see-through yoga pants thread"

/how DARE you suggest this is a bookmark?

and serious question for any mythical farkettes taht may show up:  It has been my anecdotal experience that many  women consider panties an optional/undesireable thing when wearing yoga pantsand work-out clothes in general.  Is this true or do I just happen to hang with strange women?

I wear underwear when I workout. I tend to sweat a lot on my lower back and I have it in my head ill have a sweaty ass crack too. I've never tried to confirm this but I like the extra  layer if only for piece of mind.

That chick is a fatass. Guarantee if she was standing up her ass cheeks would be drooping down. Reminds me of the fatties who pose lying on their backs to camouflage their saggy tits and the AWs who take self-portraits from above to hide their KFC jowls.

Girls can wear these hooh-hah-baring pants in public, but if a guy wears crotch-exposing spandex pants he's considered a socially-maladjusted freak.

Stupid double standard. Almost makes me miss the 1990s.
