My reaction to JCVD as Silver Surfer = i'm going to kill ever last one of you mutherfarkers.

there will never be a good silver surfer movie. it's not going to happen.  I've accepted it and am trying to move on.

Watch JCVD in JCVD. Great movie and he's awesome.

I still contend that JCVD made the perfect Gambit movie when he made Hard Target.

No powers, but everything else worked.

Is this so absurd?  He's asking to play an outlandish action hero.  Maybe with a good script he could work in some secondary role.

Rev. Skarekroe: I could see him as Doc Savage.  Obviously that's not a Marvel property but if whoever owns that character wants to make a film of him, you could do worse.

There was a 1975 Doc Savage film with Ron Ely (Tarzan in the TV series). I haven't seen it in many years, but I recall that it started out with a cool 1930s comic strip hero vibe, but by the end it had descended into 1960s Batman kitsch.

That film also belongs -- but somehow is never included -- on lists of "films that were absolutely convinced that they were launching a franchise but didn't". The movie ends with a cliffhanger segue into Savage's next adventure and a title card promising "Doc Savage will return!". He didn't.

PsyLord: WTF was with the dancing van damme gif?  I can't even identify which movie that was from.

If he's in a singlet, it's Breakin'. If he's in a tanktop, it's Kickboxer.

I think he would make a good Mole Man.
