While we're waiting for the server to crash, I could see the possibility of a plate worth of crap getting shoved under and pushing up the rocky mountains. It's what subduction does.

As far as under NYC

Plate tectonics is a THEORY.

I've seen plenty of evidence that points to badgers as the cause of this effect.

"Many had assumed that these pieces would have broken off quite close to the surface," said Brown geophysicist Donald Forsyth, who led the research with Yun Wang, a former Brown graduate student now at the University of Alaska.

Let's see.

The New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River.

I wonder what lies underneath the Colorado River.

CSB:

Back in the day it wasn't coins I collected. It was stamps. I had penny blacks, inverted jennys, Basel doves and Z-grills coming out of my eyeballs.

The art of the medium seduced me for much of my life, until I hit a point in my teenage years when I realised:

Philately will get you nowhere.

/I thank you.

You're absolutely correct. The headline was originally submitted with the link above. However it was rejected, because someone else had submitted that link with another headline, and it had been rejected. So, when the same story, albeit, with a slightly different take, was found, it was submitted with the current FARKline. And, lo and behold, it made the cut. Go figure.
